I'm grateful that I was able to turn around a bad situation. I was in a horrible place mentally at the end of last year. I took effort to make a small positive circle of friends, and took personal steps towards exiting a long depressive rut.
I feel much better and tonight has been the first time I've been able to realize my own progress.
My new aquarium arrived! It took me a few hours to build the cabinet on my own but I am so happy with how it looks. I'm waiting on a new extension cable to arrive before I can start setting it up properly, and even then it'll be a good 2-3 months before the inhabitants move in due to wanting to establish a nitrogen cycle and aquascaping. This is going to be a fun project and I'm very excited to begin.
I was home alone so I ordered sushi for dinner. I wasn't in love with the food from the Japanese restaurant I ordered from last time, so I decided to try some place new and I think I've found my new favourite. I was so impressed with the quality of everything and the price was fair.
My boyfriend took me to Build-a-Bear and got me a Pompompurin plushie! He also got me the cutest Ponyo purse!
I named the Pompompurin 'Barkus', lol.
Anyways, my Dad made me a cute little homemade card from notebook paper and made me a cake! My favorite too. Red Velvet with Cream Cheese icing c:
It's really the thought that counts; my dad has been struggling financially so I'm just grateful he was able to make me a cake!
@nyx~ 's birthday gift for me arrived in the mail on my actual birthday! It was supposed to be earlier but I'm happy it came on my actual b-day c: She got me a Jing Yuan signed print and a Kafka keychain her friend made!
And then @Midoriya helped me out so much and made my birthday week the greatest! He ended up getting me some gifts and I was very happy : D
Overall, I had a really great day yesterday! All the birthday love from my friends on TBT also made me happy <3
- Happy I have the day off and it's a beautiful, sunny day (though very cold)!
- I had a really nice long sleep last night
- I made s'mores for the first time and I really enjoyed them! Definitely did a British version of them though, I used digestive biscuits instead of graham crackers, and Cadbury's Bourneville chocolate
What a rough sleep......but what a great start to my morning and treat for my tired eyes to savor, seeing the forum grass back again haha, rough sleep too, huh?
In time, your lovely green hue will return to you by degrees, and it's all I could ever want how can something so simple feel so inspiring and uplifting? All of a sudden, I want to get up and write and draw and create and cook and listen to my favorite music and go out to the park even if it's still really chilly, even though the greenery in my area has not quite appeared yet. Even though it's still feeling shy.
.....but bed feels too good at the moment, my body likes to disagree, as does my mind, lingering in that soothing, dreamy haze... Okay, drifting off again~
Wow, hadn’t been in this thread in a while! Had to catch up on over 10 pages of happiness! I’m happy because today, we’re going to an antique show. I used to go to this one with my mom often as a teenager, and today I’m going with her, my husband, and Nicholas.
I’m also really happy to have finished my lantern yesterday, and I’m really proud of it. It’s always nice when a concept turns out better than you imagined and was actually successful!
What happened on 2/21/24 and 2/22/24:
- I went on vacation again, so I got dropped off at the airport and went to my flights. I haven't travelled alone before, and I'm so proud that I didn't get lost at any of the airports I went to since my navigational skills are pretty good. My mom suggested me to get a travel assistant, though I didn't really need one. I'm staying with some relatives in Qatar and this is the first time I'm visiting a foreign country, so I was very excited about this trip!
- Read a book at the airport.
- Watched some movies on the planes I boarded. I finally watched the Barbie movie and it was so funny! Also saw Black Adam and Blue Beetle, which were pretty good too. I didn't get to sleep well on my flights, though fortunately I didn't get too jet lagged.
- Ate some scrambled eggs with potatoes and salad on the flight that tasted yummy.
What happened on 2/23/24 and 2/24/24:
- I went shopping at a mall.
- Worked out at a nearby gym in the neighborhood.
- Went for a walk in the evening with my family.
- Got back into playing the Happy Home Paradise DLC in AC: New Horizons and I customized a home for Tybalt.
- Saw some adorable stray cats in the neighborhood. I even saw one cat sleeping in the backyard.
And here's what happened today:
- Ate some food at McDonald's for the first time in over a year.
- Started drawing again and worked on a sketch of Harry Potter. I also recently finished a sketch of Emma Watson that I'll color with colored pencils, and I'll post both of them here when I'm finished.
- Brought some cat food for the stray cats. The neighbors are most likely considerate enough to feed the cats, but I wanted to give them some dry food just in case they're hungry.
My dog and I have a very unique relationship. I eat pizza, she gets the crust at the end. She knows immediately that she gets a share when I grab a slice of pizza now.
I’m absolutely exhausted and have a long week ahead of me, but I wanted to quickly pop in here and talk about some of my happies from the past few days! I hope you all have a productive, relaxing, wonderful week!
𓇢𓆸 My mom took me on a surprise long car drive this morning! She made a couple of my biggest dreams come true this past Christmas, so when she asked me what I wanted for my Birthday, I told her that I wanted to go on a long drive with her. I’ve loved going on drives ever since I was a kid, and it’s been a while since we’ve gone on one. :’) I figured we’d be going later in the week closer to my Birthday, but she surprised me by taking me on a drive today!! She said that this was a bonus drive, so I still get another one for my Birthday!!
We saw a bunch of adorable dogs on our journey! She also treated me to brunch where I had a yummy omelette and nutella/banana milkshake, and we did a little bit of shopping after!! She got me a new pair of pants and an absolutely adorable Birthday dino plushie!!! My mom and I had such a lovely day out together, I’m so thankful!
I know having a milkshake for brunch probably sounds insane, but the spot we went to is known for their crazy milkshakes and we haven’t gone in over 2 years, so there was no way that I wasn’t getting a milkshake LOL
𓇢𓆸 I was pretty wiped out after my mom and I’s long day together (in a good way!), but I came home and did some much-needed vacuuming in my room, and changed my bedding! I still need to reorganize my room, mop my floors and dust, but those’ll be jobs for another day. My next step will be starting to tackle all of my laundry, which I’ll be doing tomorrow! I’ll probably be doing 2-3 loads tomorrow, and then doing the rest over the next couple of weeks. I’m not excited to wake up early tomorrow, but I am excited to sleep in my freshly clean bed tonight and walk around on my cleaner floor! It feels good to be getting stuff done!
𓇢𓆸 The community reached all of the Red Riches goals and unlocked the flower, heart and star glow wands!!! To be completely honest, I did not think we were going to be able to unlock the heart and star wands, so I’m just completely blown away! It was so beautiful watching the community work together to unlock the wands through envelope swapping, trading art and collectibles for envelopes etc! I’m so happy that I felt better enough mentally near the end to swap envelopes more as well! I completely wiped out all of my savings xnsjcnhc, but I made a good amount of them back, and I’m just so proud of how hard so many of us worked! I think all of us deserve cool prizes atp, but I’m excited to see what everyone’s Fortune Cookies will hold! I don’t want to wish for a wand considering I just won one a couple months ago, but I’d be very happy with a yellow star frag!
𓇢𓆸 I caught 4 new critters in Cozy Grove, all of which were mythical, the rarest kind of critter/fish you can catch!! It would’ve been 5, but one of them got away from me, and they’ve yet to spawn again. I also caught 10 new fishes, one of which I’ve been wanting to catch for a while! I like their name and design a lot; they’re like Cozy Grove’s version of an Ocean Sunfish, just an insanely goofy looking guy LOL. Also also, I lured in a new cat!! Her name is Nana, and she’s a young Demon Cat! I’ve put her in my spooky room that I’ve finally started working on, and she’s absolutely adorable!! Some of my other game happies have been meeting my 11th bear (Clyde Wallace, who looks like a wolf!), upgrading my tent to levels 9 and 10 and unlocking a new room to decorate, buying the last 4 additional inventory slots (my inventory is still too small i fear ), levelling up Cleo (my Sad Bird) and Ertle (my Moon Cat), and earning 12 new badges!!
𓇢𓆸 Bonk is alive, healthy, loved and safe. I will always, always be happy and grateful for that
𓇢𓆸 I’ve obtained 2/5 of my desired Plum Blossom collectibles!! I got one from @/-Mars- (ty again homie!!), one myself, and I’ll be getting the last 3 myself as well! I’m just waiting for specific dates. I was always too lazy to try and get a full row of Spring Sakuras, so I’m happy that I’ll have a full row of Plum Blossoms!!

☾ Got to see the latest episode of One Piece (LORELORELORE) and another episode of Hunter x Hunter with my parents this morning! We also snuck in an extra Minecraft video on Youtube and watched both Grian’s new Hermitcraft episode he finally got his mending book; I'm so glad and SmallishBeans’ first episode on the new hardcore SMP!
☾ I’m incredibly happy that we reached the final Red Envelope goal in time!! ;v; I’m glad that I was able to help get us there, even just a little bit, and I’m looking forward to when the Fortune Cookies will reveal their prizes! I was also able to make back almost all of my funds from before the event from selling back my envelopes, and that’s with me being extra sentimental and holding on to over a dozen of them.
☾ I finished all the rainbow doodle requests from my red envelope pop-up shop too! I might have to bring it back some time; it was fun getting to play with my rainbow pencil and new white ink pens. ^^ Plus I’ve been wanting to improve on my chibi proportions and draw cuter chibis, and I feel like I got some really good practice in on that!
☾ I’ve had great fun this evening playing around with pretty codes and moodboard stuff for one of my characters! I still need to fill the profile out and finish making an utterly self-indulgent playlist for her hehe
I went to take photo of the moon, not expecting much. The moon is always lovely but I could never capture its beauty with a camera. Surprisingly, it actually turned out pretty good! Gotta love a phone upgrade ♡
Last year, I went to an anime con, and I bought quite a bit of artwork. Finally, I put them all over my bedroom walls, which was hard since most of my walls are covered already XD
Ordered myself some pairs of new legging shorts and a fancier pair of sandals. They'll come pretty quickly; tomorrow it says. So, I'm excited about that since I'm really bad at getting myself new clothes.
Had a fun day at the zoo with the toddler. He enjoyed it and worked out a lot of energy. It was a beautiful day so I think the outdoors time was good for us both.
Today what made me happy:
Spanky is sleeping in one of her beds and she even stayed under the small blanket i covered her with . I love her so much .
I think I finally finished the exterior on one of my islands in my teapot in Genshin . I might make some tweaks here and there but I think it’s done seeing that I reached the load limit). I’m bummed about how much load the companions and animals take and that I couldn’t fit even one (even when the load was yellow, it would not let me place even one) :/.
mini loosely based Yongen-Jaya (Persona 5). I placed the crafting bench where Leblanc’s would be .
At first I had mixed feelings about how the different style buildings looked together and different colors (no option to change the color unfortunately), but after making some adjustments, I’m happy how it turned out. I wanted it to look a little traditional and modernized at the same time.
I also finished a Fontaine themed guest room last night inside my mansion; I’m hoping to change it up more later when I have more blueprints since it looks too much like the pre built set. I want to be more creative with the room than I can right now. Still, I’m pretty happy that I could put something together, even if temporary .
Genshin and my kitties is what has been holding me together lately; still not doing good but am hanging in there. Been enjoying chatting on discord when I can about the game too .

On twitter, people’s pet pictures get stolen and reposted all the time and claimed as their own. t eases some of my anxiety. That is not to say I don’t trust anyone here. I know it may seem pretty silly to do and the anxiety might seem silly. I’m not sure how to explain it or my anxiety better.
