it doesn’t bother me at all! i currently have 3 deers (beau, fuchsia and deirdre), 2 wolves (whitney, audie but had 3+ at one point) and have had duplicate species’ in the past as well. :’)
I try not to duplicate but also I cannot live without two gorillas Cesar and Violet. Also Rocco and Bubbles are both hippos and I need both. Those are the only repeat species I have. Hippos and gorillas are my favorite species. There’s so many I adore but those 4 are my essentials.
Currently I have 3 cats. Tangy, Raymond and Lolly. Not by design. (Except for Raymond. Used the campsite method for him. The cost was 3 days of my life.) I invited them to live on my island, I bonded with them and now I can't bear to part with any of them.
I do like variety though. So I'm looking to invite a not-cat as my next would-be resident. 🏝
Doesn't bother me at all, I have doubles of a lot of species. There are, tbh, a lot of species I'm just...not a fan of, so it's simpler to just accept the dupes lol.
On Muir Wood, I have 2 rabbits (Ruby and Genji), 2 deer (Deirdre and Beau), 2 squirrels (Pecan and Poppy), and 2 dogs (Shep and Butch).
On Inverness, my planned villager lineup includes 2 cubs (Judy and Bluebear), 2 wolves (Dobie and Skye), and 2 sheep (Dom and Muffy).
I have no problem with having multiples of species. There a few species that I really love. so I don't mind if I have more than one of them on my island.
At the moment I have two Wolves- Wolfgang and Skye, and two Squirrels- Poppy and Sylvana.
Two doggos- Goldie and Daisy.
And I'm about to have two horses, because eventually I want to get Papi, and I already have Julian.
I'm constantly cycling through villagers though, so sometimes I will end up with 3 of a certain species.
It doesn't bother me! I have two deer (Deirdre and Diana) and four squirrels (Sally, Peanut, Blaire en Poppy). Up until recently I had two horses (Roscoe and Papi) as well, but I replaced one with Bones.
Hahaha the last option to choose from omg yes that’s amazing I wish I had an island full of cats I only got my first cat islander 2 months ago. But I like to try and mix up the animals 2 of the same is about the max I would have
I don't mind it, on my previous island I had 3 rabbits: Coco, Chrissy and Francine. Right now I have 2 cats (Raymond and Kabuki) and 2 deers (Diana and Erik) and it's pretty fun!
I like to have a variety of species because it's very cute seeing the difference in shapes and sizes between them, but I don't have any specific rules regarding when choosing a villager to move in.
Gosh I was planning on a only ostrich town but like plans change and now I am out of motivation to do anything. Though I adore full specues towns but I love seeing my ostriches hang out together as I have 7 anyway. They are very cute and seriously I love them
I'm okay with having no more than two of the same species at a time. Currently I have two rabbits and two birds, and I'm okay with that amount because they're different genders and personalities.
