now that we (finally!!) have the date of the new horizons nintendo direct, what information/gameplay footage do you hope is touched on?

me personally, i really want to know about if time travel is still a feature, the in-game purchases, villager limit (how many on one island) and if the dream suite will still exist.

Honestly, not really much. I want to go in as blind as possible. Though, I'm still going to watch the Direct.

Information on facilities would be nice, though. Museum, etc.

I don't really want spoilers for anything like events and such, I agree that basic things such as in-game purchases and anything to do with villagers is more important to know right now. I'm mostly interested in changes from the core mechanics.

I want to know exactly what the in game purchases are.

That's the main thing.

For me there is just 2 things I want clarification on; first, confirmation that there is no microtransactions and second, that they are planning to implement a method of backing up your save.

Neither of which I really expect to be discussed in the Direct.

I’d like to see a quick glance at shops, and holidays. I don’t want them to go in depth about these things, I just want a scene of a player walking by them or something, just so I know that they’re there. I highly doubt they would remove these things, but I’ve always been a little nervous so I just want to see a few seconds of them to know they’re there.

These are the exact topics I would appreciate more information on. As you said, I don't think they will discuss either. That being said, I'm just excited to see more animal crossing content to hold me over while I wait for release day.

Don't they have to clarify what the in game purchases are?
It would certainly ease a few minds.

I mean, worst case scenario, you start the game blind, go to craft something, then find that you can speed it up with nook miles, then find you can purchase nook miles with real money.

It's not a theory, just an example.

Hopefully they will say it's for Nintendo online.

The real question is how many times do you plan on watching the video before 3/20?

Pokemon Sword and Shield has DLC that they just recently announced and was not mentioned until a few months after the game released. I don't think they'll talk about in game purchases this early and not until later in the year if they decided to have a DLC pack and that's what the in game purchases end up being.

i hope that’s not the case - pocket camp is one thing to have in-game purchases since it’s mobile, but i’d hate to have a mainline game have in-game purchases so i really hope it’s just for nintendo online

It is more than likely for NSO, but more importantly future proofing DLC, if they decide on doing an expansion later on like they did with New Leaf.

Honestly, though? Even if there are some micro-transactions, I really doubt it will impact the game play to an incredible level.

if it is DLC it will not be released until months after the game. Nintendo does not release DLC/information on them until the game has been out for some time.

I mostly want to learn about all the new villagers and any other new tools!!! I've been wondering if eating fruit will be the only way to move trees or if there will be a tool we can get later in the game

Things I'm hoping they will cover:

- time traveling (if it is possible for those who want to do so)
- amiibo functionality
- how online features will work
- clarification on microtransactions for people

I actually hope they don't show us too much. Like I don't want to know what Isabelle is up to. I don't want to know how we develop our island. I wouldn't mind knowing what shops would be available, like if there is a Dream Suite. Part of me wants to get a sneak peak at character customization at the very beginning (and part of me doesn't).

I mean, I am still going to watch it! Probably a couple of times since I like watching a few people analyze it for their reactions. But, I don't want them to show us everything.

my thoughts exactly! i mainly just want some answers to the bigger questions; i’m not sure i want to see too much, though, as i don’t want to spoil it for myself aha
