i like to draw or read for half an hour before going to bed, i say half an hour but most the time i tend to lose track of time then end up staying awake for ages
i also listen to madeon, he's my favourite musician and his music is very relaxing ♡
I usually watch silly videos before I go to bed. Or, I've been writing a lot in my Burn After Writing book recently before I fall asleep. I also wash my face and brush my teeth before I sleep! :3
i lay down and usually turn on a video on my ipad, usually its ryukahr and most of the time i can fall asleep while watching. if i dont fall asleep to that i turn on a fan video (i cant sleep without fan noise, and so during the winter when the fans are off i play a video of a fan) and try to just relax
sometimes though i need to take zzquil and so i drink that a half hour before trying to lay down
The last thing I do before bed is check my phone which I know is awful. I'm going to try to do something healthier in the New Year, like meditate for 15 minutes before bed.
I usually turn the overhead light off so that just a lamp or my string lights are on for a few hours before I sleep. This helps me wind down, and the ambience is nice at night.
I've been playing some ac lately. mostly fishing and cleaning up flower overgrowth -_-;
I'd like to start reading before bed again though because i think it makes falling asleep easier
Well unfortunately since finals let out, my sleeping routine has gone to crap. I want to fix that and plan to fix it as soon as possible to start the new year off on the right foot -- ideally before bed I brush my teeth and do my skincare and then read a book. Now I don't do any of that. I just play Homescapes....
Yeah. The game that advertises every single day on Facebook with the little bald headed guy who gets trapped or whatever. Which, by the way, you barely ever get to actually play the games they advertise... It's one of those stupid inane candy crush style games mostly. And I hate that I play it, but I play it and I do so for hours. It's depressing, frustrating, and last night I even made an in app purchase, and so I've decided to stop but honestly it's addictive, so stopping is MUCH more difficult than I would like to confess.
I check the forums, my discord servers, and watch some YouTube videos! I honestly should start reading again though.. Oh, and of course, have a midnight snack ^_^
I play video games, watch comedy TV shows, or browse the forums I currently use (which are here and Lake Valor). If I’m trying to fall asleep earlier I just read a book.
lately it has been playing a bit of animal crossing, simultaneously checking out the forum/casually watching YouTube videos, all the while when I leave my sheet mask on. Sometimes I’d FaceTime with my grandparents instead of playing games but that’s basically my relaxing routine before sleep time
Check the door to be sure it's locked (although it's always kept so), turn off all lights, wash my face and brush my teeth, put my hair up in a braid, set the radio to sleep mode (timer for 90 minutes, so I fall asleep to classical music).
I usually have the most difficult time sleeping, no matter what I do. Very recently however, as of last week, I’ve started using this stuff my friend got me called “sleep oil”. To be honest I don’t know what it’s made of but it’s some kind of relaxing smelling oil mixed with flowers of various types, and all you do is put a drop on your wrists and behind your ears. I have slept sooo good since I’ve started using it! So now before bed I put it on and get the best sleep I’ve had in years!
I pretty much always read just before bed! I'm so glad I got into this habit years ago and it's miraculously managed to stick with me, because I really do think it helps. although sometimes I will put the book down, switch off my light.. and immediately pick up my phone for "one last social media check"
