I have this little routine, I'm always on a call with one of my friends and end up chatting with them until I pass out on call, so I go and brush my teeth, go back to my room, take off my hoodie and set it onto my chair, so I can grab it in the morning for online school, then I turn off my light, "make my bed" and sleep.
I'm going to toilet because I hate wake up during the night because I need to pee. I know it's not very glam but it's the truth haha
For now I'm watching some asmr videos as well! I'm not sure this is efficient (no) but I love it! I listen sometimes a bit of music and try to dream of a better life with my imaginary friends. Quite embarrassing haha
But I think too much of issues, problems, opinions and I finally can't sleep.
I check the mobile otome game I play so I can hear my faves tell me goodnight lol. Then I go through my whole dental hygiene routine and put in my nightguard before going to bed, because I tend to grind my teeth at night.
That's something different every time. Sometimes, I browse or make art on my computer, or I scroll through Instagram on my phone or tablet, or I watch good stuff on YouTube on my tablet, or I read on my e-reader... you name it.
There are few things I do before going to bed, but I would type one thing. Before I get zzzzz, I review some foreign language words I learned or need to recap.
Taking my duolingo classes and brushing my teeth looking out my window and observing the people passing by. Looking out the window is always garanteed to lift my spirits lol. When I moved houses a couple of motnhs ago I was afraid I'd never find a good view again, thankfully I was wrong.
Before I go to bed I always brush and floss my teeth, use my nighttime face moisturiser, get a fresh glass of water for the night and take any evening medications, say goodnight to any family members still up and to the pets, refreshen the pets water bowls for the night, use my hand cream and put my phone on charge if it's low battery - then I go to sleep. Sounds like quite a long routine but it only generally takes 15 minutes or so and it always helps me sleep better knowing I've not missed anything out when I do it.
I always read two or four pages of my book, I can't sleep without it, and also I say a prayer to God thanking him for giving me life and for having had a good day, and how lucky I am.
Brush my teeth and do my little skin care routine. I also like to read or catch up on my podcasts. I'm trying to cut down screen time an hour before bed but it is not going well.
