i know there's a ton of different players out there! which are you? if none of the above, how would you describe yourself and the way you play this beloved game?

I am most definitely a total completionist!! I want to catalog everything possible and experience as many different dialogues as I can and unlock all the badges!! I'm a long way off from fulfilling my completionist dreams for animal crossing new leaf, but I'm still trying!!

i’m a lil bit of a total completion it’s and a lil bit of a hoarder :p

I would say I'm a combination of a specific category of completionist and a relaxationist. Completing the museum is something that's always very important to me and in New Leaf I have worked very hard on completing the badges, but I don't really worry about having a complete catalog and other things so I'm not a total completionist. When I'm not working on completing those things, I'm usually chilling with my villagers or doing things in the game that I find relaxing like fishing or bug catching.

total relaxationist
i dont focus on if my island looks nice or whatever, as long as i like it's fine
i just wanna relax and play the game at my own pace 😎

If you had put total relaxationist as a selection I would have opt for a different vote. I like to just enjoy my town while I slowly landscape and turn it into a town I can be proud of and not dissappoint old Tortimer, who so generously left it in my care. It's just relaxing to have a routine and interacting with your villagers and see what errands they have for you for the day, I don't mind how repetitive it is :giggle:

I had to vote for hoarder. I know I have a problem and it has lead to both of my towns becoming a mess. It would help if I actually knew which items are duplicates, ugh!

I do TT but only a day ahead and then I TT back. I use it for simple things like getting packages in the mail or trying to make a few hybrid flowers. Since this quarantine is ending I’m not going to have a lot of time to play AC, so I’ve been trying to fulfill some personal goals within the game before time‘s up.

I'm a relaxed completionist if that makes sense, lmao.
My goal is to eventually have everything, but unless I have an immediate idea for it at this exact moment, I can wait to get it until I have an idea or just see it floating around.

I would say completionist, since that fits my style with other non-AC games where I try to complete 100% of the game (or get as close to it as I can). Haven't really managed to do it in any of the previous AC entries, though I'm on pace to actually do it for once with New Horizons.

I picked hoarder because I always buy anything in the stores, whether I like it or not just to throw it in my storage. I keep hitting the limit.

I'm only a completionist when it comes to fish, bugs, and fossils. I have a deadline by the end of each month to catch the creatures that are available so I don't have to worry about it piling up. I could care less about the items though, unless it is a furniture series I really like, like the gorgeous series in New leaf.

landscaper all the way!

I normally do my dailies and then will hop on later to work on a specific section of my island by placing items/pathes/flowers until I feel like I can't accomplish any more for that day

I’m a landscaper for sure! I love terraforming my island and then just enjoying running around in it. My house is totally empty though. I’m not really a completionist. I make myself donate everything I catch/dig up to the museum, but I don’t stress over hunting down a specific bug/fish/fossil, it’ll turn up eventually. I used to be a time traveler in New Leaf, but this time I don’t. My reasoning is that if it’s gonna be another 7ish+ years before we get a new game, I’m going to stretch this one out so I can enjoy it for as long as possible.

I time travel sometimes, at the moment I’m trying to get the cherry blossom DIYs I missed because I got the game late April. I’m not trying to complete the museum or anything, I’m trying to avoid it actually. Otherwise I don’t know, I think I’d feel like I don’t have much to do. I strictly don’t fish or hunt bugs while TTing though. Other than that I enjoy terraforming a lot, and just enjoying the game because it’s beautiful!
In all the previous AC games I’ve played I’ve always time travelled for day 1, but with NH it was nice waiting for things to progress 😊

I try to complete as much as I can as far as collecting goes, but it isn’t something I work that hard on actively. I would time travel a lot mainly for villager move outs to island hunt, which I found exciting. Now I am just taking it a day at a time, completing tasks and relaxing.
