with how many posts there are about wanted features and npcs, i thought i’d switch things up and ask you guys what you’re hoping doesn’t come back.

personally, i’m pretty open-minded about potential features and returning npcs but if lyle were to never show his face in new horizons, i’d definitely be okay with that ^^

The Café (Coffee Shop) being its own building. I known about 50% of the community disagrees, but I feel like I struggle enough with placements in my town as is. Adding another building to worry about would be hard. If I could, I'd demolish my campsite.

I'd much prefer the Café return to the Museum basement. I'd also love it if K.K. would move into the Café when it exists and leave the plaza alone on Saturdays .

Your villagers randomly popping into your house for a quick visit, or them asking to come over beforehand and setting a time. I'm a sucker for my animals and have a hard time saying “no” to requests, even if i REALLY don’t want to do them.

i disagree with both things, i think it'd make the game more charming ;p but whatever flotes ye bote m8

Kind of going off what I said about the Café, Brewster is about as useful as the café. In previous games, the Café was a place to go to hear K.K. Slider perform. Brewster was just a background character that added some functionality to the room. In New Leaf, making the Café its own building was were things got kind of purposeless. He would serve you coffee, and you could spend some time giving villagers coffee, but it was so minimal, its likely not something that Nintendo should focus on bringing back.

I don't want the unannounced villager house visits.

I really didn't enjoy it in acnl and how it didn't give you an option to ignore them if you were in the main room. Usually if I was in another room, I ignored their dialogue, lol.

I can just imagine working in the interior placement mode, exiting then knock knock it's your pal Norma waltzing in suddenly.

the lyle hate is unnecessary, how D A R E you-

i made a whole list of all the features missing between NL and NH (that i could remember) and the only thing on it i wouldn't want to return is villagers wanting to set a time for visits to their/your house. it always drove me nuts when they asked me to pick a time that was an hour away because i wasn't likely to be playing then and if i was, i'd only forget, so i always had to turn them down. hopefully if they bring back villager visits, they leave out the appointment times.

Yeah I agree with this too. I like the visits but I don't want them to be so far ahead because I'm not going to be playing whenever they want to come over. Visits should be an instant thing.

-Villagers asking for signatures from other people's towns. One of the most annoying tasks in New Leaf that I constantly had to decline.
-Club LOL - I really don't need a DJ night club in town, and it never had much of a purpose other than emotes - which villagers now give you instead.
-Grass deterioration - If they want to add more "natural" looking dirt paths, add them into the town designer as an option.

Paid dlc is my biggest concern since I have no money and I felt like needing a subscription for content that was free to us in NL and HHD (Qr designs) really ticked me off.

I personally would be okay if the gyroids don’t return since I never cared for them except for the Brewster ones, BUT knowing how much other people want them, I wouldn’t be mad if they were included. I want others to be happy and not just myself.

I don’t see them doing this now, but still I’ll mention how I hated villagers randomly moving and hope that never is brought back.

I can’t think of anything else tbh. I’ll post again if I think of anything else.

To me the most important thing is that we get better furniture choices/varieties and a lot more - orderable included. So as long as that happens, I can deal with the things I don’t care so much about except for the paid dlc; making paid dlc could be the breaking point if I continue playing this game or any future AC games. :/ I love the game but I don’t have the money and reluctant to spend further on them because of some of their decisions that I still question.

If the cafe was stuck in the museum I wouldn't mind it so much. I would hate if brewster was it's own building

Lmao who even is Lyle

Grass deterioration - I hated this feature in City Folk. Not sure why they kept it for as long as they did. Not sure why this got the green light. It was useless, and I'm not looking for that much realism in a game. Especially when a villager moved out, it left this big dirt square. Why?
Villagers leaving without permission - I hated this, because you could accidentally miss a villager one day and they'd be in boxes the next day.
Random house placement - You could spend hours decorating a certain part of the town only for one house to stamp it out. So glad that's gone.

If villager visits/invites come back I really want them to happen at that moment. Not X hours from now. That always drove me crazy. Grass deterioration coming back would also be a huge negative for me.

I hated when I was moving furniture in my house and someone shows up and I have a toilet in my living room
