What's something you're still holding out hope for that we get?

This isn't to say that today's news wasn't amazing, I've watched the direct several times now and I don't know how I'm gonna hold out until November 5. But with this being the last MAJOR update, what have you been wanting that we didn't get today that you hope will still show up in another update?

Again, please don't make me out to be ungrateful or disappointed with what we got, I've been shaking all morning and can't stop thinking about what we saw. I just am merely curious about what features others still want, and what might be to come.

Mine are:
-Shop Upgrades
-New clothing/wigs/accessories
-Maybe Harv's island will get more shop plots for NPC's we didn't see today?
-Obscure holidays from WW

Everything we got today was more than I ever thought possible. And even some of the things people might list here could maybe be things we are getting in the 2.0 update, Nintendo just wanted to keep a few things a surprise.

I'm so mindblown by everything that was in the Direct today, I just kept squeeing and saying, "FINALLY!" But there are a couple of things that I would be even more happy to see added to the game that they didn't mention, and they are:

* Scarves, capes, etc. you can wear that will move in the wind and when you run
* Desert Island Escape and Animal Crossing Puzzle League
* Wolf Link and other crossover villagers (forgot about them! Thanks, Matt0106.)

Amiibo characters like the Splatoon and Zelda characters (especially the latter). I'm hoping out hope that they will do what they did in NL and BotW, and release them closer to BotW 2 and Splatoon 3.

I'm honestly VERY happy with what I saw in the Direct. It's way more content than I dreamed they would give us, compared to all of the previous updates. But here's things that would be nice.

- More NPCs: There's still more NPCs that we haven't seen yet. Some of them could secretly be built into this free update because of the Harv island shop feature. I'm specifically thinking of Gracie here of someone I'd like to see. But I kinda miss the post office pelicans, the police officers, etc. We may be able to see them through making houses for NPCs via Happy Home Paradise, but it's unknown right now. And that still wouldn't make them have a role in the main game.

- Minigames: Others care about this more than me, but it would be nice for this feature to come back. I am not talking about the NES games because I don't think those are coming back ever. But I'm thinking more along the lines of NL/WA's minigames.

- Quality of Life changes: I want a cart to put all of my stuff I want to buy for Able Sisters so I don't have to keep going in and out. It's annoying! I also want to craft in bulk! Don't make me make bait 1 at a time. And crafting with items that are sitting in your storage would be fantastic. There's other things they could do too, but these are my biggest QoL pet peeves.

- More interactive items: Pocket Camp is the king for this. There's so many items that animals in PC can interact with that they can do nothing or very little with in the other AC games. Come on, there's no reason to not have this in NH.

and, of course:

- More furniture: I know the update and DLC are inserting a lot. But NH feels like it's still so lacking compared to NL, HHD, and PC in the furniture departments. I don't know if these will give us enough new things to fix that feeling or not. We'll see. I'd also really like the 7-11 items to come back. But this area is always true - more furniture is always better in a game that's all about customization.

The direct was amazing though I was surprised there as no mini games. I would have liked to work for Brewster. It would also be nice to have a few more villages on my island. The other thing would be the missing NL furniture.

for me it's any of these:
  • cafe mini-game. big bummer. zero clue why they nixed it.
  • missing NPCs. i'm actually shocked gracie didn't appear. i'm sure she's a bit too "high end" for a merchant camp, but i could easily have seen her roughing it in sunglasses for "inspiration". also miss the post office pelicans. they don't make sense for the camp, but they never should've been replaced with a card stand to begin with. also shrunk? pretty surprised we didn't see him either.
  • shop upgrade. ties back into gracie. if she should go anywhere, it's here. i was also expecting them to add a new area or slot for the ceiling furniture, but. this store is overdue an upgrade regardless.
  • island mini-games. almost 2 years and the game's last major free update later, and the multiplayer is still dead.
  • new clothes/wigs. maybe they're in there and we just didn't see them? like the rococo set and other new/returning furniture items.
  • several QOL changes, but we'll see what comes with the update first.
  • felyne... my boy...

Still holding out for Gracie's furniture 😭
You know, I definitely saw the rococo sofa- it’s not Gracie iirc but maybe it is included? And we just font know yet? 🥺 I miss it too, especially the princess series. And ofc, the all time classic: BOW WIG

Apart from that:
Mini games with friends
Blanka in April
More smaller in game holidays / events like in NL
TROPICAL FRUIT NINTENDO I BEG OF U WHERE THE BANANAS AND LEMONS AT

Perfect fruit & Tropical fruit. I'm not sure if perfect fruit is considered an animal crossing staple or not because I've only played New Leaf ,but I do miss it.

Our sweet security dogs copper and booker

nook shop upgrades

mini games (or something else to do together with friends besides just "visit".

after the excitement has died down and I had time to think more clearly and process the update, I do still feel that I will be missing those.

Bridges that you can place to connect cliffs. I so badly want to have a suspending bridge over a river for a hiking trail and my campsite area.
Yes especially now that you can have more bridges. I would love to connect my cliffs with a bridge. I have two areas that would look really nice.

More villager plots
Shop upgrades
Additional buildings in town
Island fruits, other types of trees and bushes

I don’t think we will get any of that, though. I think this is pretty much it, barring future holiday items and such.

Minigames to play with friends.
Let's be honest.
Out side of trades and turnip prices, it was the only reason we ever played with friends after showing off our towns.

As this is a social game we need them back.
Make a new paid dlc for it for all I care.
Just give them to me and then I can think of no reason that can be given for why other games in the series are better

Edit: never mind. Just heard there will be no more paid dlc. And with no more free updates that dream is gone

Still hoping at some point for:

-room expansion
-multiple crafting / buying options
-Nook's upgrade

Not too many but be really super awesome to have!
