If it wasn't for the work of a few YouTubers and some very enthusiastic fans here, the last Nintendo Direct segment dedicated to Animal Crossing: New Horizons wouldn't have amounted to much in terms of new informations. It was, in fact, a brief redo of the E3 Treehouse showcase.

With the last Nintendo Direct behind us. When do you think we will hear more about Animal Crossing: New Leaf ? In the next Nintendo Direct (late January or Early February) or will Nintendo start to give us more info tidbits on the Animal Crossing website? Will Aya Kyogoku dish out new infos in Famitsu or will we be treated to videos featurettes starting next year?

What do you guys think ?

They'll probably release the last direct about it next year or in a month or two. They might give out a pro or a con, but so far everything is a pro to me so far.

yeah they're prbably just waiting to release new information.. it happens with a bunch of anticipated games
they'll give some informationslowly for a while, and then bam right in the last few months they'll give out a whle bunch of new stuff on it

so i expect stuff in the january or febraury

I don?t know.

I would guess there may be an increment of three months: June 2019, September 2019. Next? Perhaps December 2019. Three months afterward will be the release on March 20, 2020.

Is it feasible?

I'd arther sooner than later, but I don't think we will get anything good till Feb 2020.

I think we'll be fed bits and pieces to keep people interested, or just remind them it's coming out.

They are going to want to hype up the game, but with Luigi's Mansion 3 coming in October and Pok?mon Sword and Shield in November, December is the earliest I think.....but then December is prime season for sales, so I'm betting on January for anything substantial like a dedicated Nintendo Direct.

Who knows? They might show us tidbits or wait till the very end to show us more content. Personally, I'm thinking they will wait till January or February before they will show us anymore content or new info about the game. Nintendo has their ways of waiting till the very end before the release date.

My guess is that once the rest of the big games of 2019 are out (Luigi's Mansion 3 and Pokemon
Sword/Shield), Nintendo probably gonna talk more about the 2020 stuff on social media, including
Animal Crossing. Maybe they also gonna release some small clips here and there on Twitter or
YouTube, at least they did this with other games too. I could also imagine an Animal Crossing only
Direct coming out one or two months before release to hype the fans more and showing some more
of the final product in all it's glory (since they still working on it as they said).

I also think that we will have an animal crossing direct in december because of christmas in order to convince parent to buy the switch for kids who are fans of AC.

Nintendo only has one new major internally developed title announced between now and March 2020, and that's Luigis Mansion 3 and will be dropping on the 31st of October. They don't really have a choice at this point to go silent on New Horizons either.

I believe we'll get drip fed little bits of info here and there starting next month, if not a full Direct for the game in late October/Early November, as have been the time frame in recent years for Welcome Amiibo and Pocket Camp.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 isn’t even internal. It’s handled by Next Level Games in Vancouver.

My guess is either December or January.

If they were to just keep it all a surprise until release I'd be cool with that but, if that's the case...at the same time, if I'm disappointed by it I'll feel like I've wasted money. Especially since I'll be buying it digitally. :p

I can’t wait for that inevitable Animal Crossing Direct, need a huge hit to sustain me until I can finally feed my addiction come 3/20/20.

Correct. Reeeaaaallly makes you wonder what Nintendo's internal development teams are whipping up besides Zelda Switch and putting the finishing touches on New Horizons. Good times ahead for Switch owners, that's for sure.

zelda switch? doesn't botw exist

Since other big games are coming out, I don?t see getting a big direct with information until December. We?ll probably get a few small things here and there, but I don?t see it happening before Luigi?s mansion and Pok?mon.
