New Leaf for sure. The "quality over quantity" idea comes a lot when comparing it with New Horizons for me.

I first got into animal crossing on the gamecube and that game will always be super nostalgic for me (did anyone else memorise the 30+ character cheat code to get bells from tom nook or was that just me??)

I played a little bit of new leaf back in the day and some pocket camp for a few months but got tired of the micro-transactions. honestly I love new horizons, the main thing that annoys me is the fact that all of the tools break. how am I supposed to spend four hours straight fishing if I keep having to make sure i have another fishing rod in my pocket???

Animal crossing gamecube for sure! It was my very first ever animal crossing game and it just has so many childhood memories linked to it. I loved sharing the town with my siblings! We’d always try and race to finish our homework first so we can be the first to play for the day. Everything was a competition and the main one was to see who would be the first to complete their house expansions. It may not have been a perfect game, but definitely my favorite of the franchise!
