What is your opinion on really young kids going on this forum? By really young I mean like: 9-12 or below. For me it's like ehhh you shouldn't really be going on here with such topics in Brewster lol and considering a lot of the people here are like 14+ makes it a weird experience. Like maybe at least wait until you are 13 to start going here? I know once someone said they were 9??? Another one said they were 10. awkward lol

I think i's fine if you are mature, which isn't that true for most of the internet, like idc if you are 12 and are mature

each to their town and in their opinion they know some stuff may be deep but then other stuff could be anything that even a kid like 6 years could understand
so i dont have any problem to each to their own

Well per se it seems that since the forum has a younger audience they seem to be more kid-friendly with rules, likes really censor bypass and warning if you write bad words in other languages.. brb learning dead language words... Correct me if I'm wrong and this is not the cause but yeah some can act more mature and some can be really salty and edgy but tbh if people are that insecure this is probably not the right place still.

Also yeah back in my days I probably wouldn't have been allowed to join if I was 9-10, hurr.

idk my younger cousin is on here and shes 10
nothing extremely inappropriate is on this site and its fine if they do know about it all
i hope they don't make this site more kids friendly though, because they would just be boring :L

Yeah I mean obviously you shouldn't post like porn or racist stuff for example but some rules are just.. trolling?

Also yeah if they wanna be here go ahead, but don't complain if you see "trigger" stuff or whatever, it's not neopets or some kid cartoon page you are on, and yeah I don't want the rules even more strained.

true and I cringe when some users post things, and I kinda get a feeling that they are young.

In general it's pretty kid friendly here. Sometimes things blow up and things are said or discussed that probably aren't suitable for a 9 year old, but it's a lot more closely-moderated and safe than other places on the internet, including social medias which most of the young people here will have anyway. I know I'd feel more relaxed if my 8 year old sister was frequently using this site, as apposed to say, tumblr.

With kids and the internet it comes down to parenting, common sense and maturity. Animal crossing is a game with a large amount of younger players, I don't see a problem with them being here and I don't find it "awkward".

there's so many far more inappropriate things on the Internet than some topics on tbt lol. by your logic kids shouldn't look at the Internet period until 13-14 and we all know that's never gonna happen

idk if that sounds snappy but its not my intent

I don't really have a problem, yes some things can be not family friendly but usually they are removed.
It's not really the forums fault for the subjects, it's really the members tbh. Anyway I find that nintendo is a big thing for kids, if you go to the island in acnl most members you find are under 12. It's just something that comes with the forums, when it's based around a game like this. I find the really old members who act childish more awkward, at least kids have an excuse.

I mean just look at the sex ed thread lol and there have been some threads that the mods close like something about loving cartoon characters sexually? but pretty much what this is, is it not weird for someone like a teen, to be playing with a 9 year old or something

also they can be on the internet but like a forum with teens/adults?...

I don't see a problem with the sex ed thread, it's nothing graphic and it's something everyone goes through (or well most people). But yeah the more graphic things/things about other subjects are closed as soon as you report it or whatever.

I think it's fine for them to preview not entirely appropriate topics on the forums since they are going to learn about them eventually anyways. As for posting, I think that as long as they are somewhat mature about it and know that not everyone has to agree with their post, then it's fine.

No kids doesn't have an excuse for that, really you think so? Like they shouldn't have been taught manners or anything. Yeah, both older and younger members may or may not act according to rules but blaming in on that is even more lame.

But yeah it's sad that most sites seem to cater a bit too much to the new generations, like they are and should be even more over-protected already. Like they don't know about the real world and what slang and language you use and stuff. They will probably learn it sooner or later. Also I don't say you should abuse bad words but this censor bypass thing is still stupid.

If a kids going around shouting stupid things and being cocky I find it more excusable then a grown adult doing that.
Also, swearing is taboo so I don't see an issue with the censor bypass.

I see your point, but the problem is most of them are like: "MEMES!!!!!!! GET TRIGGEREDDFFD NEWBS!!" and if you don't agree with them they make a stupid point and go "TRIGGERERERDD1!!1!" sadly the truth

Not really in reality, both are as bad. And what taboo, it's not like it's some kind of religious site with God preachers or anything- Also shouting kids are tbh more annoying than adults to be honest, it's like lazy parents can't teach them manners and they do it for fun because they know they can. At least if adults or older children they can stand for it more tbh.

yeah I know sooo they probs shouldn't even be here. If the 1% is mature, stay as long as you like lol

I hate spoiled brats/kids who don't know manners so much, I can't even express the level of dislike xd
