Not really in reality, both are as bad. And what taboo, it's not like it's some kind of religious site with God preachers or anything- Also shouting kids are tbh more annoying than adults to be honest, it's like lazy parents can't teach them manners and they do it for fun because they know they can. At least if adults or older children they can stand for it more tbh.

I know it's annoying but it's still not as bad as a grown adult doing it, I don't know how you can even really say that. Kids will most likely grow out of it at some point. There's many things kids do that would be weird if adults do, which some do.
The forum aims to suit everyone here, and really swearing is not the way to go. The forum isn't some crazy christian thing is it?

Well, I got banned from Discord because I wrote that certain s-word related to poop actually so yeah.

Apparently it gets across as a reason for the staff to moderate even more when there are worse issues. And yeah you shouldn't overuse it nor encourage it but since they have a bank of bad words already what's the deal if someone removes a letter and it gets through. I just dislike the double morale of it all. Also the fact that they bother with other language and checks it way too much in general.

Apparently it gets across as a reason for the staff to moderate even more when there are worse issues. And yeah you shouldn't overuse it nor encourage it but since they have a bank of bad words already what's the deal if someone removes a letter and it gets through. I just dislike the double morale of it all. Also the fact that they bother with other language and checks it way too much in general.

But yeah I feel the site can be a bit overprotective at times, feels like a mature neopets; well yes we have a word bank but write asterisk words in a bypassed way and bye bye amigo. And no I don't encourage it in any way but it feels a bit weird they care so much about bypassing unless you do overuse it... Well if you are that bad in expression it's one thing but to be honest...

the game is for kids. it's up the the parent, if the parents think it's okay to have their child on the internet at a young age, okay do you boo. i started being on the internet and playing random flash games at age 10, 30 minutes every day. by 12 i had no restrictions. the internet has changed my life for the better, as most of my personality is made up of the experiences i've had, and i'd like to say i have become a good person. i'm not gonna say "the parents should have a tighter rein and check what their kids are doing" because let's be real, when we were younger we hated having our privacy invaded. i hated the constant fear of my parents seeing what i'm doing because i enjoyed the people i was meeting, and it opened my eyes to a new world. so let young kids do their thing, let them be free. it's gonna teach them one thing or another one day, so let em be.

I think it's a better place for a younger audience to be than most places online. Being a couple months shy of 20 makes me feel a little, out of place? This is a diverse fandom though, so it's not surprising in the least. I don't know about people younger than 13 being here, maybe Webkinz or Disney would be better suited? lol

well it's a kids game... (not to be a broken record but that was the first thing that came to mind when i saw this)
also, the owners of the site have no choice but to have rules/moderate since young people are on this forum. the site could get shut down or even get sued, and the people who own it could go to jail if they don't maintain it properly. i used to work on a forum previously and those rules applied to us, pretty sure it would apply here as well considering this is a children's game site. because there's young kids you can't just go around bypassing the censor or posting pics of messed up stuff. that's why the rules are in place. if the forum was 13+ only, there would def be more freedom than there already is.

Well not saying it should be a free cisspool like Gaiaonline or 3 yo game like neopets or whatever, it's just fun to see how double they are in some topics and when it comes to swearing in particular. But yeah I guess it's because the site go under certain US laws and rules, well we know they censor out everything bad regardless of media(even if I doubt the parents go check up on it, those stupid parental check sites probably do so).

And yeah, I mean if someone can't handle things it's imo their own fault if they get this "trigger" by anything. Stay away? Also yeah I probably got exposed to cussing and "bad" things way too early but then I live in Sweden so.

I don't know really. From my experience on other forums it has been the very young users of about that age group who have tried to scam me, shake my bell trees and run around the town unsupervised. Actually had that with somebody from this site too. He was only about 12 according to his profile,eventually he got banned from here, for his behaviour I would imagine. Some just aren't mature enough to do trades with others or visit towns in my experience, unfortunately.
Have met a couple on another site who were respectful when they came over, but they wanted to look around my town after the trade was done which when I'm trading, I oreferjust to finish it and carry on with my game. Guess that situation can apply to older users too though. Also had them turning up unannounced when I've been in the middle of a trade too, again, it was the younger people on my friends list who I hadn't deleted.

So while I have no issue with younger kids using this site generally, I think some just aren't mature enough to take part in every aspect.

I started posting on forums when I was around that age too so it doesn't really bother me. I mean, this is a forum for a game widely enjoyed by that age group so what can you expect really. I usually just ignore the trolls. I'm just glad that there are some older peeps on here so I don't feel so alone hahaha.
