But for you, you are a toss up for me for a different reason. interestingly enough, two nilla deaths means that the likelihood of toads being mafia went down by a lot. as waffles most likely would've voted for nilla over maf pr (highly doubt there's 3 nills). not really solid for lockread as waff seems a bit unpredictable

also.... i am actually extremely hesitant to place a read on jacob because i feel as if it'd be beyond risky to point out something that heavily implies that both dad and i can be town. i'm not sure he'd say that if he was ~godfather~ himself. it limits the already small pool he can push on, during a game where everyone basically agrees on the majority of reads + theres 1 clear

The thing about your message about Locket, in comparison to the message about Locket, is that they were inconsistent with each other. If both messages had "Mafia" written in red letters as Ness's message (I think) was claimed to be, I would think maybe yea they were both created with the intention of town following and using reverse psychology.

BUT, both ITYW and Rune were mafia goons. This means - more probable than not - the rest of the mafia team isn't mafia goon. So if Locket were to flip mafia, the mafia Messenger/whisperer role took a HUGE risk putting one of their power roles in a vulnerable situation. It makes much more sense to try this tactic with Waffles, after the first time didn't work, and her being mafia goon/more expendable.

Now thinking on the other hand (this just popped into my head), if Locket is supposedly a Mafia Power Role, the only role that makes sense would be the Godfather role.

@Cop - Inspect me if you haven't because no one will take my word.

Although I think this scenario is far less likely. But if anyone is willing to argue the fact that Locket is Godfather role specifically, i am willing to listen. Other than that, this would be the only role I'd consider Mafia Locket to be.

@Jacob: what are some of the things I've said that are townie and scummy? care to provide examples? I'm not too keen on throwing stuff out there like "Evan's said townie/scummy things" with no proof.

My lynch pool for tomorrow is Locket/dad/Jacob, in that order. I think Locket is top sus but the reverse psychology explanation is also very likely. Dad was kinda just caught trying to protect waffles; he's definitely much more sus after waffles flipped red. And Jacob has been rather all over the place and overall decently suspicious, though inb4 everyone says I'm OMGUS'ing. I don't mind him critiquing me but he is so mamsy-pamsy about it and won't back up what he says. He's just trying to get people to sus me on very shaky grounds

I just tried going back to look for what you said that I liked, I literally went through all of your posts, and I can't find it. Oh well I guess...

Of course I look sus as hell after that. I initially thought Waffles was the reverse psychology use rather than Locket but switched around on Locket because it seemed like a more sophisticated use of reverse psychology and my scumreads defended her so yes I did hella defend Waffles because that in combination with the fact that so many people piled on Waffles right off the bat made it seem to me like Waffles was too simple a choice.

If anyone still wants to listen to me rather than sheep lynch me because Ness will want it tomorrow, I don't think we should just let Locket off just because we don't think they were pulling this twice but it leaves two paths open for me:

Locket and somebody else are still the maf, and I'd read it as between Jacob and glow given what I've already pointed out about how they've aligned this game. But if this is the case I'm wrong about one of the two because I'm pretty sure it was a 4 team maf and not a 5 team maf.

The other path is evaluating who has tried their best not to talk about either Rune or Waffles or raise sus on them, but also consider a very forced bus on Waffles. Of course this path leads to sus on me because of Waffles but so be it. It's what happens when I don't trust my gut. But for me it is a more scattered approach.

Right now Ness/Vanessa/Heyden/Evan seem like the obvious town and I still stand by those reads. Vanessa and Evan for being the ones who stayed on Rune the longest and were the first to do so, Heyden because there was one kill and a non-cc'd protection claim. The only way he's maf in that situation is they withheld one kill to try and get Heyden seen as clear and I'm not sure about that just yet. Ness wouldn't have led against Waffles like that because if he is mafia in his situation he wouldn't want to reduce his KP in doing this.

The rest I'll focus on. Waffles is already a bit difficult to really read for me interaction-wise because pretty much nobody liked her for the majority of the game and the only glimmer of someone defending Waffles was me for all I have read so far.

i think scum were sort of forced to vote for waffle, even if it meant possibly bringing their kp down. y? cuz waffles lynch had enough momentum that scum would risk exposing a connection by defending her or voting someone else.

so with that said, do any of you really think scum dad would?ve stuck his neck out to defend her? im pretty sure scum dad (who?s fond of bussing, mind you) would?ve been a proponent of waffles lynch the moment he detected there was no saving her. i rlly don?t think he?d allow such an obvious connection to manifest. imo he genuinely didn?t think waffle was scum

Um, I had that one stretch when I was fond of bussing, I hella try to prevent it whenever I am mafia lately and you should know that more than anyone. The last game I was scum in (which I had to drop out of early and get replaced by Ness) was that one Bianca hosted with the arsonist setup and I was clear in out qt that I wanted to avoid bussing you at all costs and then Ness replaced in to do the complete opposite lol.

tbh I don't really like how you seem to defend me and run with my scumreads I've clung to Byngo, because at this point in time, I look sus as hell and I can see someone defending me because they see me getting lynched tomorrow and already know I will flip town and it will look good on you in retrospect. I probably shouldn't make enemies with the few people willing to townread me at this point but w/e I feel like maybe the Locket is also mafia approach isn't as probable to hunt down the remaining scum as the complete reevaluation approach. idk, I still think this was a mafia messenger ordeal rather than displaced inspection ordeal because Locket inspected of all people seems like an odd choice.

Also if I am accepting that this is mafia messenger it is clear that Waffles was reverse psychology given the choice to message Ness but I think that Locket would have to be doubled reverse psychology (played straight) in order to also be mafia. But if I townread Locket now I'm still not a fan of Jacob and glow because their defense of her could also be because they know she'll flip town. Also if I townread Locket then I townread Bianca.

Honestly dad, I kinda considered you scum for a second but I wanted to see your reaction. I don't really think scum dad would do this because:

1. A scum wagon of 10 votes versus 1 vote would make you stick out like a sore thumb
2. There are interactions Dad had with Waffles and Rune that make me inclined to believe he's not with them.

Yeah I only pointed out behavior I -had- to point out in that game because had I not, people would question why I wouldn't catch something that obvious. But again I was clear in that qt that I didn't want to bus you and try to solo the game all the way to the end because that didn't work out too well for me in Tina's Kissing to be Clever mafia (I think that was the name?). But yeah I'm too self aware of my meta anyways.

And Ness I don't smell a vigilante in this game.

In those really shallow reads she had day 1 she just said she thought Locket and I were mafia solely based on a gut feeling and when I asked her to expand on that she just posted some dumb gif. Hello guys I finally got in the forums its been almost 2 days and I can't get it I was about to ask the host to look for replacement due to server error which really made me lack of motivation to play I'm trying by best what can I do and looking my post it seems REALLY WISHY WASHY AS **** I gonna admit I friggin yolo the game i can't see some post and what I see I just ****post

Dolby: Personally found this attack on Punchy really awkward (#39). Punchy wasn't attacking Rune in the referenced post, but instead urging him to post (I remember that it felt that Rune was lurking for literally two hours at the time)
