What are you bringing to your holiday gathering?

If you’re not cooking these holidays, do you know what’s on the menu?

If your major holiday has already passed, what did you do for it?

If you want additional poll options, let me know. 😊

My fiance is going to smoke a ham in our smoker and I'm making yam casserole, mashed potatoes and gravy, potatoes au gratin, green bean casserole, and stuffing. I'm excited for days of leftovers (I looove stuffing)

Those sides sounds delicious! I have always heard about yam and green bean casseroles, but I’ve never tried them. 😍

I’m not really much of a cook! I actually set our microwave on fire several years ago because I forgot to put water in the easy mac. I think it’s better if I stick to non-cooking assignments. I do have off work for the next few days, but I’m not doing anything special. There is a dinner at my family’s house, but I never actually go. I haven’t went in over five years. There are a few people in my family that disagree with my lifestyle, for a lack of a better term. They seem to be stuck in 1940 and believe that you aren’t allowed to move away from your city. They’ve been trying to prevent me for a very long time and putting negative thoughts in my mind about the whole thing. I’m satisfied spending the holidays by myself. I love traveling around this time.

I've already baked a ton of cookies throughout December and then tonight I'm cooking a turkey dinner for my partner and a friend. Normally I'd have more friends over for the dinner but covid cases are on the rise here. It's gonna be a pretty traditional turkey with mashed potatoes, stuffing and a variety of veggie dishes. I brined the turkey for 24 hours so hopefully it'll turn out good. Dinner will be ready in 2 hours so we shall see.

My sibling is going to cook for the holidays, right now she's preparing for the chicken pot pie dish and there might be a few more after that.

I’m not going to a holiday gathering because Omicron but I baked whipped butter shortbread cookies and made an almond glaze for them. They’re so good. I also want to make white chocolate chunk cookies and peanut butter balls with coconut and rice krispies in them.

ive been working a lot so not much time to cook or bake for the holiday like id like to :c double sad because i cant eat many holiday treats so i have to make those for myself to avoid certain ingredients. i work tomorrow on christmas eve also, but im thinking about going to the store tonight so that way i can cook or bake something fun for christmas day :3 still dont know what i want to do yet!

I baked pumpkin bread last week. Not cooking anything for Christmas but my sister probably is, I'll probably eat at her house.

On New Years Eve I'm ordering Chinese takeout :)

I made Christmas cookies from my ancient Better Homes and Gardens tome of cookie recipes(I think it's from the 70's).I will also be making some sort of asparagus and stuffing/dressing side dishes.

i can't cook (my limit is packet pasta), and i haven't baked since i was in highschool. my mom cooks every year though. a roast dinner and a mini-buffet. i don't eat roast dinner though, since i don't like anything that's on the plate. (ironically, i used to love the version my highschool's canteen served.) i'll eat some of the cut meat at the buffet like a little gremlin that's never eaten, but not much -- i like the beef and lamb, don't mind the chicken, but dislike the turkey -- and then some of whatever else is on offer. some of it's cooked, but not by scratch. (it's, like, frozen cocktail sausages and sausage rolls.) my nan used to bring her own homemade stuffing every year, which i actually like(d), but i don't know if she's bringing it this year as well. i think my mom also makes trifle for dessert every year? i can't remember, honestly, even though it was only a year ago.

My mother is going to make pastelitos, they are some sort of turnover filled with either meat or vegetables. I can't wait to have some of the pastelitos with potatoes inside!

I make a Coconut Cream Pie every Christmas! It's all made from scratch, minus the actual pie crust which is either a frozen one from the store or those Keebler graham cracker ones. The filling is actually just a custard using coconut milk, heavy whipping cream, and sugar, among other things. It's also topped with toasted coconut flakes and Cool Whip. My entire family loves it!

Here's the recipe if anyone is interested.

Nope, I don't cook or bake at all. Everyone is better off if I stay away from the kitchen. I have literally disintegrated food before.

We are going to my mom's tomorrow night for Christmas Eve dinner and my in-laws for dinner on Christmas Day. I'm not sure exactly what we'll have at either place, though. This is a transition year for both families. Things are changing so I don't know what to expect.

My mom and I made sugar cookies today. I decorated them with geese, and dogs in sweaters.

we're gonna do a corned beef boil this year, with tons of cabbage and potatoes and carrots! i think the dish is called new england boiled dinner? not sure though! the pressure cooker makes this dish way faster to make and i think it's a great way to incorporate vegetables.

I'm also planning on baking brioche since it's so soft and fluffy. can already imagine ripping off a hot piece of bread and sticking it directly into my mouth hngggg 🤤🤤🤤

I might hop by the groceries and grab some local egg nog, just for fun. that stuff is yummy... 😍

my family is hosting christmas here, so i decided to cook something for the first time at a family gathering

going to attempt cranberry apple butter bars ,, wish me luck !
