If you've seen my art before I'm sure you now i suck so bad at drawing. I've been watching SAI tutorials but most of them are not helping. If anyone could give me advice and tips on how to improve i'd appreciate.

Also please don't be rude, I've gotten rude/mean comments on my art before

Also if anyone could help me save these pics better.I save them as a png with the high quality but they still have white backgrounds

What kind of tablet are you using? You should adjust the pen pressure so lines aren't so harsh.

Also, how much time are you spending on your drawings (individually)?

I have a Turcom Model:TS-6540 (I know it's not the best but I am new to this and I do not want to throw a lot of money into this right away)

I have tried every pen pressure available and they all end up having shaky lines (I have really shaky hands)

As for time I actually don't keep track. If I had to guess I'd 30-45 mins?

Ah, that's strange. D:

It seems like your driver isn't working properly. Try uninstalling the driver entirely, then restarting your computer. After that, redownload the driver to the corresponding OS! (https://turcomusa.com/turcom-drivers) If you are using SAI on the MAC, then pen pressure will not work no matter what you do.

I ask for the time because a lot of people spend 5-10 minutes on their drawings and ask for critique lol. I usually try to spend at least an hour on something before I deem it presentable. :x Spending more time on a drawing would result in neater lines, more accurate shading with respect to what kind of lighting I'm going for, and making sure the drawing is "balanced". BUT the most important thing at the moment is figuring out how to get pen pressure working. xD

I have a Windows laptop that I use lol

And I will try the driver thing. Thanks for the advice

as well as the drivers, did your tablet come with a disk? a lot of them do, and not using it could be why your pen pressure isnt working. i didn't know mine came with a disk until i checked years later!

The disc itself contains the driver for tablet. Alternatively, you can just download it online. Did you not install a driver when you first used your tablet? D:

I use the stabilizer
Must not have come with your tablet then. I'd recommend a small wacom, they cost 20-70 dollars to get, so you can save up pretty easily :)

As for your other question, the TBT uploader sucks. Use a site like Imgur It will upload with better quality and everyone can see it.

NEVER. We will all don banana suits and dance around your house chanting BANANA BANANA

NOOOOOOOOO

I hate bananas now XD

Thanks for the advice. Sadly I will not be getting on of those. I looked it up on Amazon (because I live in the middle of nowhere with
no stores) and it was pretty expensive.

As I said in a previous post, I don't want to spend a lot on a hobby right away. Maybe if I improved in my skills, but not now

hi Aali, I think you've improved quite a bit, so good job! as for tips, as I've said before, drawing takes practice. no matter how many tutorials you watch/read, improving is something that will only result from practice. keep drawing every day without expecting anything from it. practice strokes (short/long/straight/curved strokes) every day and your hands will be more and more flexible. do not give up or get disheartened if your drawings aren't as good as others. just keep drawing.

I started drawing since I was in preschool and it took me years (with very long breaks in between) to be where I am today. practice is all you need. nothing else is more helpful than this.

maybe you could focus on one thing, like eyes. and then move on to other facial parts
