I reset today again for a better island. Yes, I'm pretty late now.
But in general, yes too. Dozen of times. Now, I get a cool map I can easily divide into 5 parts, oranges, yellow airport (everything but not the blue, please) and Phoebe I need to match my theme !

Pretty cool !

Took me a bit of resets but I am technically on my first official island now and I want to keep it that way. Rather keep my first town/island instead of resetting 50times like I did with New Leaf. I kind of regret doing that now.

never resetted before but this time I wanted a town that suited my style
so when resetting I considered resident services placement ,airport color and fruit
sadly I forgot about assigned color and island flower and ended up with unliked ones but at this point the parameters where too many to handle so I decided to stop once the first three where satisfied

I reset four times to get a blue airport. I ended up with my second choice of fruit (cherries), and they’re growing on me. I’m happy with my villagers, and I wasn’t picky about the layout (I wanted one non-south exiting river, but 13/16 maps I was shown had that, and I wasn’t sure what I was looking for in terms of location for Residential Services.

I debated resetting longer (I assumed I would have to reset more), but I was kind of sick of it after a few attempts, so I was happy to get to move on to playing the game.

I resetted a couple times, but only for apples and tolerable starter villagers x'D I knew I could terraform most of the island anyway in the future, so I didnt worry about that at all

I planned on resetting if I got oranges, but nothing else, really!
I just REALLY hate oranges pfbtbt.
I just took the first option! It seemed nice enough!

I found that I didn't really need to reset luckily the only thing I was really looking for on my island was peaches and the game was just too cute to not get in and start playing right away. >.<

I did reset a couple times at the beginning, but only for getting an island map that fit with the theme I was going for. I was happy to take whatever fruit/flowers/villagers/airport colour it threw at me after that.

I really wanted cherries for my native fruit, haha Cx I only had to reset once, but I got better villagers after resetting was I wasn't unhappy with the rest :)

I reset mine several times. The first time was because the villagers in my island were just too ugly for me. There were also a few times where I had apples as my main fruit and I hate apples so yeah lol I had to start over.

I reset numerous times for a few days. As I went through it, I kind of regretted not just sticking with the first one I had been presented because the map seemed pretty good. I ended up with one I'm fairly content with, though the idiosyncrasies of New Horizons sort of make me wish I was more concerned with the starting villagers. It seems like it's going to be a pain to get the villagers I've long planned to have as residents in this game unless I track down their amiibo.

I was fully prepared to reset if I didn't get the fruit I wanted or villagers I liked but I got Dom and the fruit I wanted on my first try (peaches!) so I didn't care anymore lol.

Didn't reset as an OG animal crosser no reset no time travel lol

Good to see you back here again!

I reset for 2+ hours,, I think I was creeping up on the third hour before I found a map I liked. I explored it (to the extent that I could) for an hour before deciding that I wanted to stick with it. I was looking for south and east river exits, a land outlet near the back or the middle, and residence services far away from the airport. I'm surprised I wasn't resetting for longer, considering how picky I am.... and I was lucky enough to get the native fruit I wanted, cherries! I guess the only downside to my map is the fact that my airport is green... I'd have gladly taken yellow, red, or blue, but I guess it can't all be perfect! I'm really happy with what I got.

i reset twice for a layout i like - i wanted something with an island on my island. ended up with pears, which i absolutely didn't want, but what can you do? not everything can be as you want it and in that case i just took one for the team (my villagers) and let it be the way it is.

I was planning to if I didn't get apples but I got lucky the first try. My villages sucked though but they grew on me

I did reset twice because I didn't want cherries or oranges and those were the first two native fruits I got.
The third one was pears and I ended up keeping it xD

Didn't really care about the other stuff (like starting villagers, airport color, etc). But I wish I knew about native flowers, cause I'd love to get roses. Ended up with lilies.

I admit, I did reset for a few hours to get the map I wanted. Actually had it already after three or four tries, but it had pears, so I continue resetting (I don't like pears at all, that's why). Found after a while the same map again, this time luckily with peaches. The villagers aren't the best, but then again also not the worst, so I stick with it. After all, my goal for NH is to keep one island and not ending up in a reset madness like I did in New Leaf, where I couldn't stick with one town for longer than just one week before I reset it for whatever silly reasons. So finding a good map was the priority for this goal.

I thought I was going to reset, but I got cherries on my first try, and I didn't exactly mind the villagers I got. Plus, it's a lot of work to sit through those cutscenes!
