I reset a handful of times praying for Scoot but I settled for a sick island layout with triangle grass and peaches...

Yeah, I reset specifically for Reneigh. I was hoping for peaches (or apples) and a blue airport to go along with her, but I got oranges and a green airport. I was so excited to see her and so excited to play after 1.5 hours of resetting that I decided fruit and airport didn't matter. I also got a jock that I very quickly fell in love with, Sparro.

It really made a difference to me starting off with two villagers I absolutely love and I know they're permanent.

No, I didn't reset. I did have things I definitely wanted such as cherries, type of map, but I got exactly what I wanted first time. Super happy!

I didn’t reset. I got oranges and Mira, my favorite fruit and uchi villager, so I’m incredibly pleased!

I did reset twice, only because I wanted a map with two south-flowing rivers and as square a starting area as possible (I really wanted a map like the one from the E3 Direct, and I got one pretty close). None of the choices I got the first two times had what I wanted, but the third one did. I reset right when you choose the map, so I never saw what the airport color, native fruit, or starting villagers were for those first two tries.

I ended up getting an almost perfect map with a blue airport, apples as my native fruit, and Phoebe and Genji as my starting villagers. I had wanted a blue or an orange airport and either cherries, pears, or apples as my native fruit. I was not going to reset for anything but map, though, so I would have taken whatever. Also, I got windflowers as my "native flower" which I really wanted!

Pretty happy with what I got, though my island didn't really click with me until I unlocked new hairstyles and new hair colors and my character started to look like me.

I did. Figured I’d rather find an island that had everything I wanted from the start rather than settling for something and then having the urge to reset later on when I already spent effort in building it up. I did find my perfect dream map after quite a long time but it was worth it since I was looking for a very specific one.

I reset for apples and good RS placement and a blue airport.

Settled with red airport because I got apples and the RS placement is too perfect (near the coast and aligns perfectly with the airport!).

I also got really good villagers which I didn't even reset for!

I think this game definitely puts me off restarting my town years down the line. The start of the game is so much slower than other games if you don't time travel and the fact that the tutorial music lasts a week is enough to make me keep my town.

That being said my NL town is like 3 years old now so I don't think I'm ever going to reset.

I reset once, because the first time, I got god-awful Canberra as my Uchi. -.-

Initially, I was like "oh I'll be happy with whatever I get!" and then as soon as I started thinking about it, I started to narrow it down, and eventually landed on peaches, yellow airport, and an east river outlet. I got those within two hours, but then reset *again* because I wanted a slightly different thing.

It ended up being peaches, yellow airport, east river outlet, and a heart pond, and after a nice six+ hours, I got that, and I love it so much.

Umm, yeah. I was lucky enough to even get Mira and Sprocket before the 20th hit. (I got the game on the 19th)

Also, I didn't want anything else, the villagers were fine. I never had cherries before and the Green Dodo Airlines Building looks nice.

I told myself to just go with the first choice I get, but I couldn't do it... The first island had pears and two villagers I didn't like. I'm usually not that picky, but I why stick with something you don't enjoy?

i did! i wasn’t picky on my airport colour but i really wanted peaches as my native fruit - took me 6 or 7 resets until i got them lol

i reset like 4 days after starting my first one, i rushed into it which left me unhappy but at least i got a feel of what's to come, for now i'm not time travelling either

OOPS i did not read the starting bit but when i started my island again i had the mindset of resetting but the first option was perfect to me, it also had muffy who is cool and idc about the airport colour

Yeah, I reset for my native fruit and my residential area. Took me like 5 tries, I'd say about 15 minutes.

I reset for the map, the Nook Residence, the fruit (cherry or orange) and the color of DodoAirlines. (i like the red one) c:
