Yeah, my school has quite strict rules in place... Only white trainers, no trousers too tight, no jewellery, as well as the compulsory uniform. Ww have about 2 no school uniforms days then students have to pay ?1 ;-;
i used to go to a school and we had to wear polos + navy pants or khakis.
and then i moved to a school and we could wear whatever we wanted. (as long as its appropriate, of course.)
now im at a school where we get to wear jeans, but we have to wear a school shirt. (just a simple shirt with the logo on it, i dont mind it.)
i used to when i went to a private christian kindergarten. i was put in public elementary from public and up to now, so other than dress codes, no more uniforms.
It varies from school to school in America. I wore a uniform in second grade when I went to a private school and again my senior year of high school when I went to a public school.
I live in the UK, too. So I always had to wear a uniform for school. Primary school was much more laid back then, though. I used to turn up in black joggers and anything but a school jumper. Nobody ever said anything. It's changed a lot in the 20 years since then.
High school was much more strict with uniform although I always wore my own trainers or canvas shoes. It was just our luck that by the time we got to 16 and was about to start 6th form, which was always none uniform, that the school started telling us that things were changing and 6th formers would have to wear a uniform too.
Yes and at the time I hated it. But sometimes looking back I think hey it was a blessing as I never had the "what do I wear today" problem I sometimes face now.
