It's possible that I might have it, although I haven't been diagnosed. My aunt has OCD and I think there is a genetic component to it? But I do struggle with intrusive thoughts quite a lot, which can be bad enough that I have to counter them with other thoughts. And I have a tendency to develop compulsive rituals to resolve things I'm anxious about, which of course leads to worse anxiety if I don't do the ritual or don't do it "correctly". At one point I had to close an app on my phone the exact same way every time, and if it didn't close "right" I'd become horribly anxious and have to re-open and close the app again until it closed correctly.
I tend to need repeated reassurance over things I'm anxious about, or past events I feel like I handled poorly. I check and re-check things a lot too. I'm also a bit of a germaphobe with a fear of contamination, to the point where I often have to wash my hands twice before I feel like they're actually clean. The pandemic did not help with this, to say the least.
