I hope everyone else, including the mods, has been enjoying the fair so far . I know, I have been having a lot of fun; bummed that I missed the deadline for a few contests though as well as not trying others because I didnāt think Iād be able to come up with something good. What part of the fair have you enjoyed the most?
Since Iām not good at photoshop or drawing, Iāve been enjoying Starry snaps, sleepover at Harveyās and Dreamy Dresser the most. I seriously had a blast with some of my entries and with other entries, I wish I had took more time doing (especially sleepover at Harveyās), but nevertheless, I enjoyed the different focuses for each part and especially loved seeing how creative and how different a lot of the entries were. I hope thereāll be more in game decorating contests in the future since I seriously love to decorate even with the limited furniture available.
My favourite has been the Celeste's Observatory colouring pages. I'm no artist but I felt like I improved a bit in just 3 pages. I'm sad there's no more actually.
I definitely agree with you on starry snaps, dreamy dresser and the sleepover at harvey event! Those are my favorites as well since im no good at drawing either and its really fun trying to come up with sometime creative in game using items
magazine mashup was super fun! i was expecting to be stressed about it but me and my teammates worked hard & made something i'm really proud of.
dreamy dresser has also been great, always love compiling new outfits. + not sure if this counts but musical chairs (i forget what it's actually called and cbf to go check oops) was soooo cute & fun too!
As a mod, my favourite entries to look through are the magazine mash up entries everyone is so creative and iāve been really enjoying reading the columns!! and of course, I love playing Splatoon with everyone during Switch stars I always look forward to our TBT private battles and itās even better if I can rope some random members into playing more turf or SR with me after
Oh yeah and the dream sequence drawings are hilarious !! Iām going to miss our silly titles in our profile bit when the fair is over!
My favorite is Little Lullabies since writing is one of my hobbies and this is the first time I've gotten to participate in a writing challenge here on TBT. I'm excited to see the top haikus selected by the staff.
I've also really enjoyed Half-Past Hoodwinked since I love decoding, puzzle-solving, or any mental activity. And Celeste's Observatory has been really fun even though I'm not artistic at all. At least I can color inside the lines and I do enjoy picking out just the right colors for things.
Even though I'm not good at art, I'm looking forward to seeing everyone else's for the Magazine Mash-up too.
Starry Snaps and Dreamy Dresser are fun to do! Crazy Dream Sequence was definitely challenging. But it rekindled an old hobby (doodle art) for me and I'm really glad for that.
I think the most fun part about this fair is looking at other people's submissions because, wow, there is so much creative talent here. The colouring contest has opened my eyes to the possibilities! Beautiful lineart, and so many different interpretations! I simply love seeing colourful things. (Alas, I cannot colour to save my life so I did not take part. )
My favorites are definitely the oneās that use in game images. Itās been really fun dressing up at Harveyās. Iām really going to miss them. Hoodwinked was also a pleasure to partake in, I do love puzzles.
Iām also proud of my contribution to my teamās magazine mash-up entry. Itās been literal years since the last time I worked on a piece as big as the cover page. Really proud of the art I made for the second page as well. Had a blast making the villager portraits. This fair surely reminded me why I never truely gave up making art.
The Half-Past hoodwinked was fun. And also some of the drawing contests which gave me a reason to grab my pen tablet again
And I kind of have a love/hate thing with the House of Nightmares. I love to puzzle but it can feel so unfair and frustrating, but if you got the answer it feels good and when you find the matching artwork it even feels awesome!!
Celesteās Observatory, I donāt really have a lot of time to be colouring in with uni right now but for some reason I spend like 3-4 hours anyway on it, so I would say my brain subconsciously loves it.
House of Nightmares because I love puzzles but also the frustration of searching for something is somewhat enjoyable : )
Switch Stars is fun to participate in and play with other TBTers, Splatoon especially
Also Sleepover at Harveyās since I always like the interior/exterior Animal Crossing design contests
In terms of the Events, I'm partial to Starry Snaps, Dreamy Dresser, and Switch Stars. I'm not artistically inclined, so while drawing and coloring events can be fun to do, I'm never good at them.
As for the Contests, Sleepover at Harvey's is my favorite, but I also like Little Lullabies.
For the contests probably Sleepover at Harvey's since that one is the most accessible for me but I love seeing all the creative entries for the Magazine Mashup. For the Event probably Celeste's Observatory and Half-Past Hoodwinked. I never really did just sat down and colored and with the beautiful lineart Laudine draws how could I not. I love solving puzzles even if it takes me a bit but it's always fun figuring out what they mean and much fairer than the House of Nightmares.
Iāve really had so much fun with all of these events!! My favorites so far would have to be the coloring pages because I think coloring is so relaxing and therapeutic. I also have really enjoyed the cozy photo challenge and coming up with the scenes for the pictures.
I have really liked Hoodwinked (I love riddles!), Dreamy Dresser, and Sparkles in the Sky. Tiptoe was also really cool and the line art for Celeste's is phenomenal!
Iām pretty much done with the TBT Fair now (since I lost my SD Card), but once again, the mods did it right like always. I kinda wish that we had the Championship Series and the Arcade like the last TBT Fair.
EDIT: Found SD card. Will now continue participation in the fair until itās done.
