I've had fun with all of them, but my favorites are probably Little Lullabies, Dreamy Dresser, Magazine Mash-up (so much fun to work with a partner on that!), and Tiptoe to the Tunes.
The mods did a great job on the events and definitely deserve a big round of applause.
My favourite contest is the haiku one! For me it's a welcome break from art/design related contests because those are just not my strength at all, and it's nice to feel like there's something I have a chance at.
My favourite events are Count Inside the Bottle (a classic and I always get excited for the reveal) and TBT's Crazy Dream Sequence (so many entries made me laugh out loud, I love looking through that thread!)
I loved Celeste’s Observatory I’ve never really drawn or colored digitally before this fair so it gave me a lot of practice and it was soothing to color
I also really liked Starry Snaps, Dreamy Dresser, and Sleepover at Harvey’s since it got me to be creative in the game! Also crazy dream sequence is hilarious and everyone is so creative !
drawing is not my forte so it was kinda hard to do the magazine mash up >_< I didn’t want to drag anyone down with my lack of skills so I went solo for the magazine lol
For favourite events I'd say House of Nightmares and Celeste's Observatory! Even though HON stresses me out and has me stumped for a few hours, finally getting that "aha" moment is so satisfying. And I love Celeste's Observatory because the linearts Laudine creates are just fantastic! I literally never do colouring pages, but Laudine's are the only exception and I've had such a blast colouring them. It's also the thread I tend to check the most because I absolutely love seeing everyone elses's entries!
For the contests I'd say Magazine Mash-up is my favourite, even though it's the most work intensive out of the four and I've also not submitted yet oops. I love scrolling through everyone's entries and there's definitely some really good competition! There's so many skilled artists and writers, I can only hope that mine stands a chance haha. But regardless, it's been fun working on it. My teammates and I have all been working super hard on it so I really hope that people will like it when we finally post.
i've been having fun with all of them, but i'd have to say... half-past hoodwinked! i just really like puzzles and ciphers! i like the art-related contests too but my god do i spend too much time on them im dying trying to keep up with all of them
as much as i suffer for the counting one and house of nightmares, i think the suffering makes it more fun for me too ywy);;;
My favourite contest was probably Sparkles in the Sky! Having to come up with a fireworks design was loads of fun, and definitely a spin on the drawing/decoration-type events
My favourite event was Half-Past Hoodwinked. I loved cracking the codes - it actually inspired me to check out some cryptography and puzzle websites so I could keep on doing it after the fair is over! The puzzles were just hard enough to be exciting, but logical enough that they were accessible and not too frustrating.
Crazy Dream Sequence and Magazine Mash-Up have been my favorites to browse through. I've spit out water on multiple occasions laughing at some of the puns included and dream titles.
Switch Stars has been a lot of fun too. It has revitalized my interest in SSBU specifically and a lot of new friends have been made. Everyone (I hope!) has been enjoying the games and we've had a lot of funny & nail biting matches. ❤
The magazine mash-up was fun but very stressful when you're working alone, haha. I was definitely team no sleep at some point especially nearing the deadline. I also really like Switch Stars/Mario Kart and I hope people don't think I'm super aggressive/mean. I've ran over some people on accident because I'm trying to avoid the serial killer star-mode players behind me, lol.
My favorites were the Celeste's Observatory coloring pages! I love to draw but sometimes doing line art stresses me out and just getting to color something for once was really nice! It makes me wish there was a big coloring book of them!
I also really enjoyed making my sleepover room for Sleepover at Harveys. It took me a long time to collect the items I needed for it and get everything set up. I loved all the chances to really get creative the most!
I've really been enjoying the fair and participated in almost everything. It's hard to pick a favorite... all the events were fun, but I think I most liked the in game picture events, Half Past Hoodwinked, and Celeste's Observatory. Switch Stars is the first time I ever played Mario Kart online with others and had a blast despite being terrible. The fair has made me realize I'm a lot worse at everything than I thought I was. But at the same time, it got me to do some coloring/art again, which I haven't done for years and really enjoy.
Really impressed with the talent found here and love seeing other's work.
i think my favorite was celeste's observatory it was really relaxing and i had fun coloring and oddly enough, connecting the dots.
i also really enjoyed half past hoodwinked, it was challenging enough that i had to think and work out the answer, but not so challenging that i felt tempted to ragequit every time like house of nightmares lol.
Definitely Magazine Mash-Up and Celeste's Observatory. I got into digital art about two-three months ago, and doing these contests has actually helped me learn a bit more and forced me to try stuff I normally wouldn't try!
