Favorite Fair Contests

I would have to say my favorite contests and events were, Sparkles in the Sky, Sleepover at Harvey's, Little Lullabies, Dreamy Dresser, Half Passed Hoodwinked, and Switch Stars!

House of Nightmares! JUST KIDDING. I'm still recovering from the emotional trauma lol. No but seriously, it's really hard to choose because they were all really fun in different ways, even the House of Nightmares, if only to participate in the collective groaning and bemusement of other forum members.

I found the Celeste's Observatory challenge to be particularly meaningful for me as someone who works in an artistic field but never does that sort of color work. I feel like it forced me to get out of my comfort zone and try new things, and it's inspired me to continue exploring digital painting well after this event has ended, so that is definitely a top contender for me.

I also really liked the Sleepover challenge, because I have found Harv's Island to be a continuous source of entertainment for me; I love creating scenes from my favorite stories or just experimenting with design ideas before I commit to them on my island. Of all of these, I hope to see a Harv's Island competition return to TBT again soon, perhaps in the autumn? A Halloween-themed mini event with a design a haunted house challenge? YES PLEASE. @Jeremy, I hope you consider this! :D

Finally, I really enjoyed building my fort for one of the Cosy Photo Challenges, so much that it is STILL up even now. In a weird way, it is a fort for me; the world has been a scary place lately and building such a magical little space felt restorative in a very difficult time. I've been using it to hide and read and it feels like a secret world where I can escape when real life becomes a bit overwhelming. I put a lot of work into it, so I'm not in any hurry to take it down, though I will have to at some point since I'm using pretty much every spare sheet/blanket I own, and plus it's taking up a big part of my room! :D

I really liked events that had us do in-game things. Starry Snaps, Dreamy Dresser, and Sleepover at Harvey’s were a lot of fun because you can see everyone’s creative side and different styles come out. I like seeing how people use the items they have from the game and create something out of them.

Sparkles in the Sky was another favorite. I had a lot of fun with that one. The tricky part was getting the fireworks to cooperate.

I also really loved the lineart in Celeste’s Observatory. Just beautiful.

I’m definitely with you on the design a haunted house idea; I hope to have some more harv’s studio/decorating challenges in the future since these have been a great help to me coming up with ideas for my island or house and I just loved seeing everyone’s entries 😊, plus I love decorating challenges.

I’m glad everyone is enjoying the fair. 😊 Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the events and what your favorites were. I’m really looking forward to finding out the results of each contest; good luck to everyone who have participated :). I really think the staff did a wonderful job at making sure this event was fun for everyone and challenging in some ways as well. 😊

I love so many lol
I had a lot of fun playing with fellow TBT'ers at Switch Stars even tho I suck at MK8 lol I had never played that game online before
After that, Half Past Hoodwinked was fun to solve, every round! Celeste Observatory (and other events) made me learn how to do digital art and for that I'm grateful! It was so relaxing to color.
I also enjoyed making the pixel drawing for Sparkles in the Sky and Count Inside the Bottle.

I used to do creative writing when I was a bit younger so Little Lullabies really stood out to me. I have taken part in many events but it was definitely the most calming for me out of all of them, especially since we got lots of time to enter our haiku. It didn't take me long to think of one, but it's still nice to not have to rush our entries 😅 . I did also enjoy Count Inside the Bottle but I think I'm biased because I really enjoy guessing games since I'm usually quite lucky! :)

I really enjoyed hoodwinked! I'm a huge fan of puzzles and online riddle games so it was really satisfying solving the riddles. All the events that I was able to participate in were really fun, and I think I had a blast these last few weeks doing this and that for the fair.

Celeste's Observatory was the one I enjoyed a lot and also the most. It was relaxing and fun coloring those amazing linearts. Count Inside the Bottle was also funny, although I failed pretty bad guessing the right numbers. 😅

i enjoyed starry snaps the most! i like any sort of contest where you have to take a picture based off of a certain prompt - cozy photo challenge was a lil stressful for me as i don’t have many ‘photogenic’ or ‘aesthetic’ items or settings irl and so i was sort of limited in my participation but with starry snaps (and dreamy dresser :)), i could participate 100% and it was super fun! honestly kind of sad it’s over aha c’:

I had a lot of fun solving the half-past hoodwinked messages. Also the Dream Sequence is such a unique event that requires you to get creative with whatever weird prompt you end up with. I really like what I came up with for round one. I have a decent idea for round two but it's much more basic this time.

In terms of the contests, i'd have to say Sparkles in the Sky and Dreamy Dresser, because I love messing around with in game stuff, and sparkles in the sky in particular really motivated me to play around with the fireworks feature, that honestly I'd never actually used before.

If we're talking about just events in general though, then i'd definitely say Switch Stars (although Smash Bros Ultimate was all I played because I was obsessed with it xD) was my favourite this time around. While at first I was very anxious and thought I was going to hate it, because I can get very nervous playing with other people, it just ended up being quite chill playing with fellow TBT members. Everyone that I played with ended up being really friendly, and even the really good players gave me a couple tips and were still very fun to play against, and honestly i'm kind of sad that this event is ending pretty soon. Hopefully I can still manage to schedule a smash session or two in the future with a few people, because playing with others seems to make the game just a lot more fun to play!

My favorite was probably Celeste's Observatory. There's something relaxing about just coloring things in. I also liked Magazine Mash-Up. I have zero artistic ability, so my entry wasn't nearly as gorgeous as the ones that are up for voting, but I had a lot of fun making it. Honestly though, I think I enjoyed all of the events and contests aside from House of Nightmares. I think that one just wasn't my type of game

Soooo many favs!!!! Sleepover at Harvey’s, Celeste’s fun, crazy dreams, dreamy dresser, and YES the mirrors!!! I also had sooooo much fun playing MK8 with u guys!!!!! Long live baby park!!!!

For me, Half-Past Hoodwinked was my favorite event (putting my cryptography knowledge from university to good use, lol). The others I would say round out my top 5 are Switch Stars (lots of hours put into playing SSBU, lol), Tiptoe to the Tunes, Celeste's Observatory and Sleepover at Harvey's. Definitely a bunch of fun events/contests from this fair!
