Half-Past Hoodwinked [Answers Posted]

i would understand if all challenge questions were vague and required context clues while I personally found challenge 3 harder to decipher, but challenge 2 took longer to figure out what the specific answer was. like when i deciphered the whole message it took me a bit to figure out what the question was even asking. it takes quite a bit of time to decipher the whole message (which is what most people end up doing), so i can understand the frustration people have here

at the end of this event, Im curious on what percent of submitted answers were wrong between all three challenges. since it seems quite alot of people got it wrong despite deciphering the whole message. if less people get challenge 3 wrong than 2, than that says that challenge 2 was trickier in wording not the code itself

im not sure if question 2's question was intentionally made trickier out of all of them, or was just a slight oversight in making a vague question

my answer was accepted so im not upset about being wrong, it's just the question was very vague so i understand where people are coming from

Are we allowed to tell those who got code #2 incorrect what they misinterpreted based on their answer? Not telling the actual correct answer, but giving them some idea why they were off?

I got the answer correct and would love to help others understand just this aspect if this is allowed, but I don’t want to be banned and have my tickets revoked...

I still really want to know how I got #2 wrong. I decoded the entire message and gave myself a headache in the process, so its a bit upsetting that I didn't get tickets for it. I don't remember the question, so I can't figure out how I misinterpreted it.

Am I allowed to ask others what they got for round 2? I got it correctly but I'm curious. I can't remember what the question was now lol.

Please do not do this. They will find out what the correct answer was at the end of the event.

I got worried after round 2 because people were saying that they found the phrasing of the question hard, but I just tried not to overthink it too much when choosing my answer. After I read it though I could see how people could go in the wrong direction. I think I could guess what the wrong answers were.

I think it’s ok to post the qu again since it’s not the answer? It was something like what is the crook going after.

I thought this was going to be the hardest one, but it actually turned out to be the easiest one for me.

I genuinely wasn't even planning to spend time trying this last one. But after taking a couple minutes, it all just revealed itself, bit by bit. I'm gonna miss these challenges. Thank you!

Life got in the way, so I'm late to the party in submitting. This one took a little more time to crack, but once it did, it came together nicely.

Thank you for putting these together!

I just cracked the message oh my gosh,, I'm honestly so shocked that I did. I have no idea how people are saying this one was the easy though, I was so lost at first 😅

That was SO satisfying when everything slowly started making sense!! Loved it!! (also I wrote actual code to help me decipher and it was fun)

this was super fun, im gonna miss feeling like i used my brain for once 😢 i loved how this one was structured !

Just had the time to decode the last one. I'm going to miss this! Please do some more in the next event! So satisfying when you start to figure it out. Thank you to everyone envolved :)

Oh, crap.

I didn't read a few messages further along in this thread (I assumed everything I needed to know was in the first post) and didn't realize we had to post an answer to the question, not just the entire decoded message. I thought the question after the picture was a hint as for what the code was talking about. Yikes.

Does this mean I got it wrong?

edit; just saw " The post must contain the answer to the question following each secret message." now. ugh. I thought I read the entire post carefully. Unfortunate.

I mean.. technically the answer is in what was decoded, right? Lol.

Has entires for the final question been accepted yet?

The task wasn't to tell us what the message said but rather to find a specific phrase within the text. If you simply decoded the text without directly answering the question then you wouldn't have received tickets.

Can we talk about the messages / answers now?

The submissions for round three have yet to be reviewed, so please do not discuss the answers until they have been publicly shared by the host. I'll drop her a message and see if she needs any help. :)

Oh, this is good to know! I was a bit worried when mine didn't get accepted, but it looks like everything's good now. c:
