In anticipation of Jingle's arrival and New Year's resolutions, a blanket of snow envelopes the island and holiday lights are strung along the trees. Illuminations, auroras and festivities are about as the wintry season has begun.


How to Participate

---

Decorate your snowy Animal Crossing: New Horizons island with festive illuminations and holiday cheer. Screenshots will need to be submitted in this thread.

You may also participate by using reactions on user submission posts to vote for your favorites! The top 16 entries with the most reactions will be put forward to a public poll, where each TBT member will be permitted 4 votes. The top 8 winners will receive the Special Snowflake collectible.


Rules

---

• The screenshot must be an original photo and taken on your own island.
• The entry must be during the winter season (Nov 26 - Feb 24 for the Northern hemisphere & May 26 - Aug 24 for the Southern hemisphere) and include at least one islander home, villager home, or NPC exterior building in the screenshot.
• Please include a second image of your islander in Designer mode with your TBT username.
• Photos must be unedited including in-game filters.
• No low-effort entries allowed. Entries should be well decorated and composed.
• Do not edit your entry once it has been submitted unless requested by a staff member.

Dream addresses do not count. Please correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe there's a way to use Designer Mode in dream addresses either as part of the proof screenshot.

do i need to time travel to the winter season? i dont like to time travel. couldnt it be possible to make it in the summer season as plenty of people, including me, have the holiday season in summer irl. idk how its fair to expect southern hemisphere players to time travel yet northern hemisphere players dont have to. yeah

I don't like to time travel, either. I think that this is a fair point. If my game wasn't already in the northern hemisphere, and time traveling was required to enter this event, I would have just skipped it and felt like it wasn't fair.
