How do you start your morning?

My mornings usually start off with the screaming cat or two meowing at me for food in the morning.
After I feed the meowing symphony, I usually just have an instant breakfast milk and a small piece of toast.
Fortunately I'm able to work from home so I don't have to shower until later when I check things. My SO is usually still asleep and his alarm goes off later.
We both work at home together, but in different rooms so we don't end up going insane :).
 
I also WFH and live with my SO. I have a lazy morning routine - wake up, brush my teeth, get dressed (optional cuz I don't always have video meetings haha), make a coffee, choose my podcast for the day :)

I've been unemployed since May, so right now:
  • Glass of cranberry juice and a cup of tea.
  • Check for messages relating to the companies/charities I volunteer with.
  • Check TBT hasn't exploded since the American/Canadian mods went to sleep.
  • Dailies in ACNH.
  • Go shower, get dressed, eat breakfast, more tea.

maybe finally do some work

Right now in quarantine summer:
Get up
Get dressed (Bare minimum, I pretty much live in pjs now)
Make an iced coffee
Get on ac, YouTube and here unless I have to do some morning chores

Work Days: Shower, eat nothing, open laptop and quickly make sure I'm logged in for work, sleep another 15-20 minutes before fully logging on.
Weekends: Shower, maybe eat something, jump into game.

My work is still slow but either way I work nightshift so I wake up and make coffee. Then I sit out front of my house with my 2 cats and let them get exercise. They are chunky but also indoor cats so I have to stay out there and watch them. I also pick some dead leaves off my garden and make sure no plants are dry. Also I've been bad and have no desire to eat breakfast anymore so two big coffees is my breakfast lol.

If i'm at work, then I usually wake up and lie in bed for about 10 minutes, go downstairs to get a drink (usually a smoothie) and take my daily medication. Then i'll attempt to eat some breakfast in bed whilst watching TV for about 30-40 minutes, run and get in a bath while carrying out the annoying daily skin care routine, watch some anime for an hour or two, prepare and eat some lunch, then finally get dressed and leave for work. After I get back from work, i'll usually just crawl into bed and play a game until it's time to sleep.

If i'm not at work, then it's usually just the same except i'll watch some more anime and play on my laptop a bit longer, and also make some dinner in between my lazing around. I don't really go out, and I just shop in my break at work so I don't even need to do that now, and that means i'm pretty much always at home.

I feel that.
Thankfully I don't need to do video conferencing at all. Most of my colleagues don't want to. I tell them "I'm gross. Don't look at me."
 
by going back to sleep.
of course this usually fails so i usually go on my phone for 30 mins, watch anime, eat breakfast then get dressed.
 
alarm goes off
me: ugh shut up

repeat a few times

suddenly it's 8:20am and i have a meeting in 10 minutes

chain of -censored- out of my mouth

get dressed usually

throw the windows and curtains open so it's BRIGHT

attend meeting while half asleep and pretend to be competent
 
I used to not have a morning routine outside of school but this is my current routine:

- lay in bed for like 10 min longer cause I dont want to get up
- eventually get up cause the dog is stepping on my hair
- let the dog outside to potty
- give him food and fresh water
- turn on the AC and fans pointing into the other room to cool it off

After that I usually try to find something to eat or I go about my other business :p
 
my fullproof morning routine (see results in days)

wake up way too early
fall back to sleep for like 2 hours
wake up again and say screw it and get out of bed
eat
shower
???
get back into the anime grind

  • check emails and phone notifications
  • make bed
  • grab ensure/quick breakfast and coffee/tea or an actual meal on the weekends
  • brush teeth, brush hair, wash face, pee (in any order)
  • feed cats
  • start roomba and move the cat deathly afraid of the roomba into my bedroom
  • start doing work required for the day

Literally cannot freaking wake up in the morning. It's not so much as lack of sleep but my sleep medication has such an after effect. Lately I've had nothing but crummy mornings, even on my day-offs. I never feel rested. If I do eventually wake up... eat breakfast, drink coffee, get dressed while feeling sluggish af
 
My morning starts with a lil coffee, a lil doggy, and a lot of yawning... lol

I used To be great about just getting up and getting out of bed, but as of lately I’ve just been a complete bed head
 
Wake up @ 10 ish, brush my teeth, make some celery juice, drink it~ wait 30 mins & then cook breakfast for the fam.
 
I wake up early, work out at home for 30-60 minutes, and then immediately shower unless I feel woozy afterwards, in which case I'll have a small protein smoothie prior to showering. Then I'll eat breakfast which consists of super high fiber cereal, hot pomegranate green tea, and a small glass of juice. I'll usually go back upstairs after breakfast and brush my teeth, then keep an eye on work and check emails.
