I don't really have an image for reference, but I'm just hoping there's a male hairstyle that is decent length to match mine in real life a little. I've never been one to go over the top with my character's look, in any game.
My New Horizons character will look like my TBT avatar which is based on my New Leaf mayor. Perhaps I'll add a few things from the new clothing that's available.
Possibly the new wavy hairstyle on the pink girl in the trailer, but with black hair. I want my character to resemble me sort of, so that hairstyle is the closest. As for the face, I?m going to choose one of the classic faces with a triangle nose like I?ve used in past games, even if there are new ones. I?m torn between 4 and 10.
I will probably make an alt character to experiment with any new faces and noses though!
I want my character to look like my character from New Leaf. And here's a little story:
"I wanted to create a really good outfit for my character ever since I got the game. I could never find one however. So I mixed and matched some outfits I thought would be good, yet never found it. It wasn't until October of 2014 where I finally found the outfit I was looking for and was like "Yes! This is the one!". I kept it throughout the many years later and still like it to this day. I even created some more outfits throughout the years too."
Now I know most of the clothes on my outfit may not be in New Horizons, but I will take the clothes that look like them through changing them to different colors.
I like my character to look like me, and I can already get pretty close. So the customization I hope for are minor:
-GREEN eyes, not that weird turquoise. I get that it's a rare eye color but come on, Nintendo. The Miis don't have it either. Its so minor but it drives me crazy, hahah!
-more hair color options, specifically darker purple/lavender and teal and medium green.
-an a-line bob with short bangs. I use the the longer blunt cut above the shoulders with short bangs hairstyle now, because it's the closest looking to my hair IRL, tho a little too long, and it's clearly meant to represent longer hair. Would love a similar style that's shorter!
-earrings/piercings, but I'm not sure that's in the cards! Any jewelry would be nice though. We've seen some, but I don't know if they're tied to the rest of the outfits or a separate item.
I think i'd like my character to be a mix of what I look like & what I'd like to look like. For example, I'd LOVE to have pastel pink or purple hair. But since I have naturally dark brown hair that is nearly impossible to achieve without damaging my hair to the point of needing to cut it all off.. So I only get to live that dream in Animal Crossing! I'll probably also get light blue/blue eyes again since I love that colour with the pastel hair, but in real life I don't have blue eyes either. I like to switch outfits and hair often in the game anyway, so I'd also love to switch between straight hair with straight bangs and wavy hair types, or up-do's.. Like in real life, basically! Ahhh I'm really looking forward to creating my character!
Mine will look like an alter ego as I like to deviate a little from how I am in real life because I can live out differently in the game. And I’ve got my naughty character as I’m sure we all do who goes round stealing presents and hitting villagers with nets (it’s not me it’s them!!!).
So like my first character was:
I answered honestly, Kapp’n asked me where I wanted to go and I stupidly wrote ‘shop’ because I wanted to go to the shops (this was WW btw) so thus became the town of shop and all the ‘I shop’ villager dialogue. That was my town name ��.
So ok I don’t want to look like me but I want to loosely base the character on myself and like PP also said, what I would like to look like as I love pink hair.

All my subsequent characters look like her and will look like her. She does look a bit like me but I have blue eyes. I’m hoping they have a lot more eye colours!!!!
For now, all I can confirm is that I’ll have dark skin and a round nose. Idk if the facial features/hair will be dependent on how you answer Rover or the pilot’s questions.
I want my villager to look as much like me as I can make it. I plan on trying out different faces to see which one looks best before deciding anything. I really look forward to trying out the new noses.
I want to look cute or cool! (The Duality of Man...) I want either a short or medium length hairstyle, particularly a cute bob. And the color should be either pink or red! Eye color either a light shade of blue or green, if possible! Skin color either dark brown or medium brown, since I'm black myself x3 For clothes? Well I dunno yet! But I'd squeal if we got the option for a leather jacket of some sort! Like Marnie from Pokemon Sword/Shield! :3
id like to base my character off myself. i think i might go with a triangle nose but ive been eyeing the square nose these past few days. id like blonde hair, but in all the ac games it has looked hideous (its too yellow!!), so i might just go with light brown. since nothing's genderlocked anymore im debating between the lady eyeshape that has 2 eyelashes (came out in acnl) or the dude's eyeshape that had the purple eyelids. i feel like i'll have at least 4 outfits to correspond with the seasons; i can see myself wearing a dress in the spring, shorts and a shirt in the summer, maybe an overall dress in the fall, and long sleeves and pants in the winter. im really excited to see all the options we'll get!!
Brown floppy, wavy guy's hair, the droopy eyes with grey eye color, and hopefully angel wings in the future (praying they come, and in both white or black)
