In my real house, my holiday decoration is minimal. Basically a tree and a wreath on the front door. 😂

But in my ACNH house, I want to go BIG! The problem is that I’d have to re-decorate all my rooms, which feels like a lot of work.

How much decorating are you planning to do? Will most of it be outdoors or indoors?

I plan on decorating my main room with a small tree. But outdoors will have a big tree in my yard with a bunch of presents in the yard! :D
Christmas isn't my favorite holiday, but I am excited to decorate my island in ACNH and spread the holiday cheer to my villagers.

I'd focus on the main room only. Then go crazy with outdoor decor. I spend most of my game running around the island. And I only enter my house when changing clothes or using the storage.

I plan to decorate both my main room and outside. Inside my house will be very minimalistic but I plan to go a little overboard outside. :)

hm. i plan on incorporating a lot of the christmas and illuminated items into my island’s general design so,, i suppose i’ll be going all out all of the time xD. as for temporary holiday decorations, i likely won’t do too much; i already have a festive tree in my main room that i plan on keeping up year round, too, and i’ll probably place some decorations outside of rs :’^)

I'm hoping to do a lot of decorating in ACNH but at home we celebrate Hanukkah, so no decorations at all :( Just 8 days of lil presents ;P

Semi OT question, you don't even have the menorah? That is what I always think if with Hanukkah.

I really think they should have DIYs for those in AC along with the Kwanza candles. I have no idea what those are called though. (If anyone does, please educate me!)

Minimal. I celebrate the Solstice, so I'll try to tailor decorations in my house to that. I'll stick to the main room, and maybe one or two touches in the kitchen or basement (Hufflepuff common room).

Outside, I'll replace the pumpkin/harvest items with wintery-themed things.

I have a few areas on my island that are permanent which are winter themed. I have started to add a few Christmas trees and will add some more ice furniture when I eventually get the diys. I have waited so long for winter. I am so excited for when it starts to snow ⛄🙃

I can’t wait to decorate for Christmas. I have some ideas but need to wait until I get the winter DIYS. Most of my decorating will be outside but will do some inside decorating in my main room.

irl probably not much
acnh gonna do as much as possible- maybe not the insides of some of my rooms since they're event themed already.

I actually can't wait because slowly turning my 'festival market area' into a Christmas market. so hypeddddd

I'll swap out some of my general decoration items for winter themed ones. For example, I have a stationery/toy store so I'll put snow globes or candles there instead. I may swap out some cedar trees for the christmas tree item. Not sure if I want to use a lot of the illuminated stuff but maybe here and there along my big main street.

I'm probably not going to decorate the inside of my house, but possibly the outside. I am even planning on changing the exterior of my house for the season as well. My resident services plaza is already decorated for Christmas with Holly bushes and a couple of Festive Trees. I may add more when the DIY's come out for me.

I'll probably redo one room of my house in a Thanksgiving theme and one in a Christmas theme. Most of my decorating will be done outdoors. I can't wait. Illuminated crap will be going ALL OVER the island, and big festive trees customized in every single color. It will be a tacky mess, but it will be my tacky festive mess

irl we're gonna get down the tree later today and put it up tomorrow and my grandpa's gonna put up xmas lights

on my island idk. i'll probably put up a tree somewhere, but i'd like to experience the holiday first and maybe decorate next year when i'm not worried about getting the holiday items you know?

I think you can customize the candles for Kwanza to be blue and white but that's the extent. But honestly, it's about the sentiment of the season that matters, especially this year.
