@ Lauren: I have this wasp killer stuff that kills them on contact (supposedly), but the nest is some where in this gauntlet of rocks. It doesn't seem to be touching them. I'm too cowardly to root around for the nest as well

I only dare get about 3 or 4 feet from the entrance of the nest at night.
@Beary: Are you offering me a yellow jacket to protect me from the yellow jackets? Brilliant! That very well just may work. Their stupid pea insect brains would probably explode from the uh... what's the word here... not irony... uh... well maybe there isn't a word for whatever it is that would cause their brains to explode.
@Steve: I tried befriending them! I told them as long as they quit hosting these ridiculously hostile and intimidating swarm party orgies during the day I'd leave them alone. They will not, as they are too retardo and binky brained to grasp the concept of a peace treaty. They will still kill on sight, thinking they have every right to hang out near MY deck. They helped themselves to the bits of sweets in a trash bag I left on the deck, they still don't care. They're such jerkwads.
@Xiaonu and where would I put said fly paper? I have some sitting around, I could try it! Hornets are far far stronger than flies though, they'd probably get out no problem.
@Ruika: Do hornets liked Animal Crossing? I don't recall seeing any hornet villagers around
So any hoo, I tried the idea of placing a rock over the hole they go in. As I had feared, the shape of the hole is too oblong, and they are able to pass around the boulderish rock no problem. I might try many rocks, but each time I touch or step near their nest I involuntarily run in fear, sitting awake in a cold sweat for hours to come.
