Is sexuality a choice or are you born with it?

Isn't sexuality "born with it" and gender your choice or what you think of yourself? That's why on important documents they ask for your sex, not your gender.

correct me if I'm wrong ya...

Gender isn't a choice either, I'm sure trans people wouldn't willingly choose to be worse off than just LGB people

as someone who is interested in the same gender, it's not something you choose. i can't say how much is based on the environment surrounding each person or whatever, but at no point did i wake up one morning and think "ya know what? i'm gay now." i've dated both guys and girls, and even the sweetest most caring guys are just not for me. feel free to have your own opinion of course, but when it comes down to it, either way i don't think that people who aren't lgbtq+ should have the power to make decisions that affect only lgbtq+ people, such as marriage laws, adoption, etc.
