Please keep this topic a mature and serious discussion, as soup is an important subject to many of us.

I know some here, such as oath2order and I, have a great love for many different types of soup and the concept of soups in general. This thread is meant to find others like us and to talk about your favourite soups, how you would rate soups you try, etc.

I've had a bowl of soup every evening for as long as I can remember. My history with soup has differentiated over the years and I usually go through long stages of different types. There have always been a few main soups I eat over periods of time. I've never been into overly sweet soups such as Progresso, but as a kid I usually asked my parents to buy Campbell's and Chunky (may it rest in peace).

In my teenage years, I transitioned to slightly more healthier soups and I stuck with Healthy Choice as my main for a few years. I also ate a fair amount of Amy's.

I've recently made a transition into full-blown health soups. My current main is Glorious! and its variants. I usually mix the standard Glorious Meal with Glorious Skinny. The reason I made this change is because I started exercising and doing healthy stuff, and this soup has more protein than any other I could find. It's also not that bad in terms of taste, especially the supergreen variant.

So feel free to talk about the soups you eat and why you chose them. Also, we should use this as an opportunity to try soups recommended by others. However, DO NOT TALK ABOUT RAMEN IN THIS THREAD. This thread is for soup only.

This is your fault Tom.

I really hate soup. I don't like hot things and I don't like the taste of vegetables. I'm planning on making a butternut squash soup soon for my parents though.

I LOVE butternut squash soup panera has an excellent one at Target and I eat it when it's cold outside

Tomato is good too.

Miso soup and Baked Potato Soups are my favorite soups to eat/drink. Miso is especially great when I'm feeling unwell, but baked potato is just blissful any other day.

jesus christ on a cracker I love baked potato soup.

Target also sells that

I dont like having ramen as a soup, why do people try to have it as a soup? (i prefer all the liquid drained off and I eat it as a pure noodles dish, adding the flavor powder only after the noodles have been drained.)

there are no better soups than homemade welsh leek and potato soup, welsh caul (lamb stew), and russian borscht with a dollop of sour cream spooned in. these are all hardy stick-to-your ribs soups. i like succotash too, but does that count as a soup? i think it does.

hmm maybe not re the succotash, there's not a broth really. im not sure, how should it be classified?

I literally cannot live a say without soup. To me, soup is life. I cannot eat rice without having a soup with it anymore and it's becoming increasingly difficult for me to consume rice without soup. I like soup with vegetables. I'm not really a fan of salty soups or excessively creamy soups. Moderately creamy soups are okay to me though. I've been eating soup for a really long time. I've been eating soup for so long that I don't even remember when I started eating soup. I don't plan on stopping my soup consumption until the day I die. I really like soup.

the return of the ancient food threads!

i love chowder! any kind, clam, corn, chicken, etc.!

At this restaurant near my house they serve soup in a bowl MADE of bread.

Soup is best on a cold, dark, rainy day. After all, it is the only pure thing for your soul.

I'm loving all these food threads. <3

Anyway, I love soup! Chicken cilantro rice soup is my favorite. It's such great comfort food that really hits the spot. I also really like chicken noodle, lentil soup, tomato soup, menestr?n, miso soup, egg drop soup, wonton soup, and chicken cream soup. The only kind of soup I dislike are canned soups, they lack flavor and don't make you nearly as full.

Not a big fan of soup, but it can be a good side dish to certain meals

I guess I like any soup with rice in it
