pet peeves / lil stuff you cant stand

I hate it when cartoons or shows focus an episode on the family getting rid of an old couch, tv or car and they decide to go to hell and back to try to reclaim it because it has 'sentimental value." Like bro, your couch looks ugly from the stains and stuff or your car is so old or broken to the point where its more beneficial just to buy a new one. Ughhhhh I just hate this whenever I think of it lately.

One of the things that really gets to me is when I'm at the checkouts in a shop waiting. I don't mind waiting, but what I hate to see is staff from separate tills having a conversation with each other while serving customers. There was an older lady getting her shopping scanned and you could see you was trying to make conversation, but the checkout operator wasn't interested. They were more interested in what the other member of staff was doing at the weekend. In my view, that's plain ignorance, plus they are getting paid to serve. Fair enough, if no-one is getting served, have a chat by all means. What really gets to me is that, that staff member may be the only person that a person speaks to all day or for several days. A simple conversation with even a stranger can brighten someone's day and help them.

So sick of seeing this kind of stuff on my dash. Unless you were living under a rock since the closure of the 3DS/Wii U servers. One of the things mentioned in the video is that and the other is Pocket Camp (Video in the third image and it came out a few days ago. I have no energy to look at the rest).

I know we are currently in a drought, but I cannot stand when people make videos like these.
The thumbnails (Edited images,Twitter posts..etc) and melodramatic headlines; The perfect recipe for clickbait.

Honestly, this is more of a criticism of self.

It's kinda frustrating to constantly blank out on things. It's very challenging for me to remember short term.

Realizing I posted something in the 'Random Thoughts Thread', then not being able to remember what it was a few seconds later.

(I'm already aware of why I have this issue. Does not make actually dealing with it any easier).

It bugs me a lot when people think I don't know how to use tech. I don't know if it's because I'm a girl or maybe I just look stupid or something but it's happened twice recently at different locations. I know staff are just doing their job and that there are more tech stupid people out there than tech smart people but it's just so annoying being babied. But I also don't want to be rude so I end up sitting there while they tell me how to fill out my address in a form.

My mother asked me today about an opinion. "If a place that has planned an event is threatened with violence, should a person feel safe going"? (say broadway for example. if someone threatened to enter with a weapon, would you feel safe sitting there if you had already purchased tickets)?

...My answer is that I think if someone really wants to harm others, it's usually not going to be announced loudly ahead of time. We had all sorts of prank threats at our highschool. When it actually happened, it was from a guy who made no prior announcement. His intent was murder. He didn't boldly proclaim to the police what he would do that morning.

My thoughts? It's tough. I wouldn't feel safe. However I don't think living in fear is the answer either. It's hard not to be scared sometimes. I'm constantly on alert. It's an unfortunate risk. Especially in the U.S where absolutely nothing is being done to resolve the problem.

The pet peeve: The people who make these prank threats are gross and unfunny. There's enough stress as is.

Leave others alone.

Whenever people get into arguments online and one or both users on either end resorts to personal attacks or insults. It's so childish and annoying. -_-

Some eating across the table from me blows their food, the wind of their blow reaching my face along with whatever contaminants be in their breath

I am always that girl who laughs a lot at jokes. I hate when people say “It’s not that funny.” Like, I’m not being loud or obnoxious about it. It’s a joke, so I laughed.

I keep getting jumpscared by little kids editing fandom wiki pages with “skibidi ohio rizz!!!”. Tbh that whole site is a huge pet peeve.

I was on a transfer bus in highschool (since I was in a school for struggling youth). I had to go back to my trade school. It placed us on a bus with the 'regular' students.

There was a girl running around the bus 'roasting' people. She was yelling very loudly, jumping over seats, etc. She started screaming at a random boy and kept making fun of him until he was red faced and crying. I could see the entire front section of the bus egging it on, including the driver.

...God, I don't miss highschool sometimes.

I kept thinking 'what did he do besides sit in the wrong seat'? It could have easily been me sitting there and I might have had the same reaction.

That was also the day I realized headphones are good for tuning the world out. Noise cancelling headphones have to be one of my favorite investments.

I'd much rather read a long article than listen to that same article in a video. I read fast so I get annoyed having to slow down to listen to the 30 min video that I could read way faster.

I don't care if you pirate a game and play it early.

However, please don't be rude and spoil it before it releases 😔

I've been looking forward to the new Zelda game releasing. Someone who played it early decided to suddenly post information on a dungeon and I would rather have that part of the game be a surprise.
This. I hate it so much when this happens. I just want the game to be a surprise but people do things like that. That game is a good example. 😒
