pet peeves / lil stuff you cant stand

I was watching a video of a theme park worker who left a door open at a concession stand. The bear walks in and startled the worker. The bear ran away though.

They still tracked down and killed the bear.

Humans have decimated so many bear populations that they claim there's nowhere left to relocate them.

In my opinion: The bears are killed as a public statement to keep tourists happy. They aren't going to stop ruining natural habitat, so the alternative is knock down the bear population whenever they wander into a place.

They'll kill bears for little reason. I've read about one bear that was killed because a person fed it and the bear decided to come back, figuring it was a food source.

It's all quite sad.

These kinds of posts. Like c'mon you sound like a whining child. It usually originates from those alpha male or misogynistic pages.

Maybe it's because I grew up below the poverty line and this plate of food looks amazing me.

If you feel so entitled to a meal go get fast-food on the way home.

'X' show is the reason why 'Y' show ended or/ discontinue.

This statement comes off really whiny to me.

On twitter, I see people that don’t usually post there (cat twitter) reply to some people who are posting about their pet getting hit by a car or something to not let their cats outside, some going so far to insult the owner and saying that they don’t love their pet. This is part of why I hate unsolicited advice (some unsolicited advice is okay like if my mental health is really bad and a friend is super concerned for me). There is an unsaid rule on cat twitter to not give advice unless someone asks. I think when it comes to unsolicited advice, you have to be careful since it could make the person feel worse not better.

I feel like a lot of video essayists and other YouTube creators overexaggerate various pop culture trends and Internet fads. (not sure what else to call them) For example, I have never heard of anyone using Ozempic as weight loss in real life, nor have I heard anyone get called a "pick-me girl", "woke", "girl's girl", or "horse girl" in real life. Other trends like "man or bear" (not about big, bearish men, unfortunately), haven't made it into real life either.

To me, in my life, at least, this is all Internet stuff and doesn't represent the real world.

Getting spammed with texts or calls sucks.

If anyone is ever in a position to give out a phone number and you feel uncertain, you can pick up a free extra number with the Google Voice app and give that out instead. Then give them your real number when you feel ready.

If somebody doesn't like it, remember that your safety and well being should always be top priority.

Look after yourselves.

Another thing I thought of…specific to spooky season…is when people use serial killers/murderers/true crime cases as part of their Halloween decorations or aesthetic. Or even worse…costumes! (think of how people’s kids dressed like a real killer from Ryan Murphy’s Monster a few years ago)

People get murdered or go missing every season of the year, and it’s tragic for their families. Murderers are not fantasy creatures, like witches or werewolves or whatever…they’re very SICK people who destroyed very real lives.

I wouldn't say A.I as a concept bothers me, but it's the extremely fast and forceful integration into society which makes me feel uncomfortable.

You can't scroll a social media feed without being absolutely bombarded with A.I images that thousands of people are mistaking as real. You can't google a term or question without being fed an A.I answer as the first response.

It's eating up and taking over how we interact with the world. I wonder what happens when A.I becomes indistinguishable from human made creations in a few years. We haven't even scratched the surface of what will soon dominate many aspects of living.

I guess it's just that as a young adult who will have to live an entire life through this, it makes me ponder. It makes me remember the movie 'WALL-E'.

I don’t like it when people body-shame rude people instead of calling them out for their behavior. Two wrongs don’t make a right. Besides, if it’s a public figure they’re roasting, it ends up hurting regular people who have that body type more than the intended target. It also shows a lot about what they think of people who look a certain way. Just criticize them for what they ACTUALLY did wrong, like being racist or whatever.

When people refer to the bleeding thing female dogs get during their heat cycles as "periods." That bleeding thing dogs get isn't even a period. In fact, most mammals don't even menstruate.

If you expect people to be smiling 24/7 unconditionally, you're weird sorry.
I remember reading once that comedian Limmy’s girlfriend was riding an escalator at the mall when a security guard told her to smile. She said she reported him. (Perfect!) But like…she was just riding the escalator. Who smiles riding an escalator? Very weird and sexist.

Smiling in general or being expected to even during certain times is a pet peeve of mine already, because I don't usually smile... like at all. I'd say the only times I genuinely smile is when I'm either laughing or when I'm having fun or seeing a friend I haven't seen in awhile. Otherwise it's just forced to be honest.

There's this HUGE emphasis on having your life figured out by the time you're 30. For some reason, people consider 30 to be some kind of deadline when it comes to adulting and stuff. It's like your life ends the second you turn 30 and you're running out of time to accomplish the things you were "supposed to accomplish" at an earlier age.
