What?
Yeah sorry. I just saw X right away and my mind went to Twitter and how Elon changed the name to the most uninspired name/logoWhat?
The amount of gatekeeping when it comes to nostalgia, especially 90s nostalgia. It's almost as if anyone who wasn't born yet or born later on in a decade isn't allowed to enjoy anything from said decade. Not to mention these kinds of people will brag about how they were born in the early/mid/late 80s-early 90s, so they got to experience most of, if not all of the 90s.
Like, congratulations! You popped out of your mother's womb in 1989, which means you were alive for pretty much the entire 90s! You want a gold medal or something?
It's not like everything in the 90s just magically disappeared the second the 90s ended, and people who were born in the 2000s or later like myself can still enjoy stuff, despite not being born yet or being way too young to experience it.
I agree! Like how am I a size 2 in one store, but a 7 in another, and then an 11 in another? Women's jeans (I'm assuming you're talking about women's) need to follow the same method that men's jeans do. List sizes by waist x leg. It would solve so many problems.Clothes shopping can be a nightmare sometimes. Considering that I'm slightly overweight not to mention I have a large chest and big butt, I feel like clothes shopping for me can be somewhat difficult. For example, when I go to a store or an online website/app to shop for clothes, 9 times out of 10, I'm gonna find some shirt, skirt, dress, or pair of pants/shorts that are either:
A. not my size
B. don't fit my style
C. really expensive
I especially find it difficult to shop for jeans. Because jeans sizes have zero consistency, I basically have to play Russian roulette when it comes to finding the "right" sized jeans. Jeans sizes can vary especially when it comes to brands. And the worst part about jeans is not knowing whether or not you need to size up or size down depending on the brand of jeans you're thinking about buying. I might as well just stop buying jeans and stick with bottoms that I feel more comfortable wearing (cargo pants, skorts, leggings, that kind of stuff).
I also hate the other type of nostalgia gatekeepers where people can't feel nostalgic for something because it's only a couple of years old. Like uh, hello?! Something doesn't need to at least be a decade old for people to start feeling nostalgic for it.The amount of gatekeeping when it comes to nostalgia, especially 90s nostalgia. In school people have their phones on at max volume and it's infuriating when you're trying to pay attention.People who don't use earphones in public.
Yesterday I was on the train and a guy a few seats away was watching anime without earphones with the volume up loud - he only thought to turn it down a little when the soundtrack played. Then on the return journey I was sat next to a girl watching TikTok videos without earphones, again loudly. Enjoy whatever media you want when out and about, but please be considerate of other people!
THIS 100% THIS! The amount of times I had to share my stuff with my siblings, only to have them destroy it not long after. Then when I would cry or complain to my parents, I'd be told that "they didn't mean to" as if I was the evil one for getting mad at a kid. It's no wonder I don't want people touching my stuff. Nobody has respect for other people's things. I wish more people would offer to rebuy said thing their kid/pet/etc broke. But no, it's up to me to replace my things that I didn't break. Angers me to no end.when people touch my things without my permission. i get it if you don't know how i feel about that, but if you know how much a germaphobe i am and how meticulous i am about my stuff to keep it clean and in mint condition, then why do you still refuse to listen? its MY stuff. why are you in MY room grabbing MY things to hand to your little children to play with? then they go and break it, i have to go hide in a corner and cry about it because it held sentimental value to me, and you try to tell me "they're just a kid its not a big deal" ???? buy it for them then? why are you touching things that aren't yours without the owners permission? then you wonder why your kids are so entitled to everything, and why the next time they come over my house they go in my room while im not there, grab something from my desk, and destroy it. they never want to buy a replacement for you either despite being at fault. i cant count how many of our consoles, controllers, games, collectibles, etc have been constantly destroyed by children over the years and their parents don't care at all, and then we're the ones having to spend hundreds of dollars to buy replacements. we can never show how angry we are too because they're just children, but when they leave we're so pissed. aghhh :>
