Pokémon Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet General Discussion

I just finished all the DLC storyline and theres a scene at the end with Kieran talking that would've been SO good if the game had voice acting. Just found this on youtube and it makes me sad how much better the games could've been

Even though I’m not done with the dlc yet, I agree with you 100%. Since I picked up the game, I thought it was weird there wasn’t yet the characters on the screen move their mouths when talking 😅; it has been bothering me a lot. I really love having voice overs in games; good voice overs usually play a huge part in how much I enjoy the game and the story.

Shiny gholdengo might possibly be one of the worst shinies they ever made.

They did the same thing with the charcadet line. I hate how they're making shinies with just different eye colors now.

I haven't played a mainline game since SW/SH, but I been eyeballing this. Is it worth it?

Its ok. Better than Sw/Sh in my opinion but still very behind other past games. If you like past mons you should get Scarlet. If you like future mons you should get Violet. Other than typical version exclusives there isn't much of a difference. The DLC makes the game better as usual so I recommend getting the game with the DLC. The Tera gimmick is more interesting than Dynamax. The story is decent but the gameplay is a bit buggy. If you really want to play Pokémon again they are good enough games to get.

That's mostly what I heard about the game, how it still feels outdated and buggy, but I'm still looking to scratch that Pokemon itch and maybe get a lil' competitive with it. I'll probably get Scarlet cause the box art legend looks more enticing to me. Thanks for your feedback!

The Blissey raids will be joining for the repeat run not this run. It will be interesting what they will do for the 7 Star raids since they are running out of starters 👀

Info from Serebii.net in case you missed it:

Today is the 1st anniversary of The Teal Mask!

What are your thoughts on the first part of the ScarVio DLC? I'll put in my two cents later.

EDIT: Okay, here's my opinion! I thought the story was great and it was The Teal Mask that made me develop an appreciation for a certain Pokemon character. 💜 (I didn't grow hyperfixated on him until I beat the Indigo Disk, though!) Ogerpon and Kieran are my favorite characters, and I dig the Dipplin evolution line!
