Does anyone knows if the CoroCoro magazine still release their own new information about Pokemon games, like presenting new Pokemon which aren't shown yet? I remember back when Gen 6 was new how much new information we got from CoroCoro, like they even showed the first evolutions of the Gen 6 starters (I can't remember how it was with Gen 7). I hoped for some new Pokemon and information being presented by CoroCoro, but I never see or hear anything from it...

They revealed a new Pokemon: Sirfetch'd, Farfetch'd's new Galar evolution. It's Pokemon Sword exclusive by the way (not sure if there will be a Shield version of it).

But my showerthought is that not naming it Sparfetch'd is such a missed opportunity.

Sirfetch'd is awesome. Farfetch'd is my favorite flying type and giving it an evolution was a really good move a long time in the making.

Game Informer confirmed that you can turn off (!) the auto save function in Sword & Shield. Also, HM's
will not return in these games.

Oh, good. I never liked the HM's anyway and also, I had no idea there was auto save function in the game, or at least, I never noticed they said that.

Apparently Exp Share is now gone and all pokemon gain and share experience automatically. What does this mean for EV training though?

I really hope that's not the case. I prefer to individually train my Pokemon. As for EV training, they'll likely rely on the "Super Training" thing. If they make it so that EXP Shares are used on all Pokemon in the team then that's fine, but I would like the ability to turn it off.

Turns out they just talked about the auto save for the very first time yesterday, honestly I thought they mentioned it already in the past, which was not the case as I found out, hence why I forgot to add that part when I made my post. Sorry about that! And yeah, I also never liked the HM's that much and I'm glad they not gonna return here.

I honestly think it's kinda funny how many people I've seen online backtrack what they said a few months ago about not getting the game because of the whole national dex fiasco now that they're seeing the 18 gyms thing. There was a reason they didn't put every pokemon in the game... and that sounds like a good one to me.

Honestly, the whole #BringBackNationalDex thing became such a big mess in the past month, so I'm glad that most of the fans finally calmed down with this. I for myself have no problem with the fact that the National Dex is missing, I can live with this.

Welp, looks like the part with the 18 gyms wasn't right. According to The Pokemon Company, we will get a similar amount of gyms as in previous games. Turns out Game Informer made a mistake by the translation and messed up the part with the amount of gyms.
