thanks! i cant believe people already leaked all the dex. How many pokemon are there?

Last time I heard that the Dex will have over 600 Pokemon, don't know how many of them are Gen 8 ones.

I also heard that the only Starter Pokemon that will be in Sw/Sh from past Gens is Charmander. Seriously, I really start to hate Charmander, especially Charizard, mainly because for the fact that it gets so much attention and all the other Starters getting nothing at all...

Well, since the only Starter from a past Gen will be Charmander, it means neither Blastoise or Venusaur will get a new form, as they will not even be in the games. I will never understand the logic here, like if Charizard is there and getting another new form nobody asked for then they could have also included the other two Gen 1 Starters and give them new forms too. But nope, it's all about Charizard because it's "so popular and awesome", ugh.

Recommend people put leak information in Spoilers through, even if it’s just DEX numbers cause some people might not want to accidentally read/see it....

From what I've seen on Reddit it looks to be about 90 new Pokemon if you count the new Galar forms and evolutions. I'm not sure what the total dex count is including Pokemon that are returning though.

Edit: Just saw a list on Serebii the full dex including returning Pokemon is 400. so we can probably assume that 310 are returning Pokemon from older games.

They cut out so many of my favorite Pokemon. They cut all of the starters except Charmander (RIP my chances of shiny hunting Oshawott, Fennekin, Popplio), and they cut out Absol, Scolipede's evo line, all my favorite legends (Suicune, Ho-oh, Giratina, Kyogre, Lunala), Miltank, Zorua/Zoroark...

That's like a huge turnoff for me.


On the bright side, they did leave a few in that I like, such as Arcanine, Gigalith, the Eevee evos, and Golisopod. I think Silvally is in the game too. But I'm so disappointed that many of the pokes I want to shiny hunt aren't in the game

I'm still unsure if I want to spoil myself or not because I played Sun and Moon mostly blind after successfully avoiding too many spoilers. Aside from some Pokemon I liked and the music I was highly disappointed in Gen 7. Having the traditional gym system is what I'm hoping for. They didn't understand 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' in that regard.

I'm already mildly spoiled on a few things such as the starters and the giant Pokemon battle feature (lol what?) So idk if I should go full spoiler. I already know Galarian forms are all mostly still gen 1 that's disappointing. They just put Pokemon Let's Go out there for gen 1 pandering. Aside from Ninetails and Muk the Alolan forms had designs I didn't care for. Other than that I like a lot of the Pokemon I've been spoiled and the region seems nice.

I think its more about Gamefreak pandering nonstop to Kanto in order to “appease” older fans. Not even Bulbasaur or Squirtle are returning to Sword and Shield, which in itself is ridiculous. Charizard itself is not bad, the pandering is.

I had already decided long ago I was not planning on getting Sword and Shield. Personally, I do not mind the Pokedex becoming smaller. However, what really annoys me is that there’s so much evidence that proves that cutting them is pointless and there’s little to no work being done or shown on the promised “high-quality animations”, which was Gamefreak’s main excuse. Its all over if Pokemon Home proves to become a terrible and lackluster attempt to make up for the missing Pokemon in Sword and Shield.

Didn?t spoil myself on the new pkmn that got leaked except for one Galar form cuz I saw people discussing it and I was curious and omg! galarian corsola !!!! so super cute and Corsola is one of my top top favorites so this makes me happy but I kinda wish I didn?t spoil it for myself now hahah

only other leak i checked out was the dex to see which pkmn would be returning and i am very disappointed but that?s about what I expected so shrug

also this is the 3rd gen ever where i liked none of the starters final forms oh well more room for other pok?s on the team

also lots of hate on gen 5 (go figure) over the amount of gen 5 mons in. All this is is rage over half of the pokemon not getting in... which is game freak's fault

The pokemon company has been taking the steps to remove and copyright strike all mention of the leaks. Sounds like your decision has been made for you.

This all started with final starter evolution leaks. IMO This would have been prevented if they'd just reveal them in the first place.

They do usually do it more than 10 days to release.

Let's be honest here, it's not surprising that people hating Charizard and being "butt hurt" over the fact that Game Freak prefers their new favorite mascot over all the other Starters and even Bulbasaur and Squirtle. It is pretty unfair and also ridiculous, you rather give every Starter a pass, at least all three from one Gen or no one. Picking one because out of popularity and left the others in the shadows is a trashy move here. Don't care if I sound like another butt hurt Charizard hater now, but I'm really not amused of what Game Freak did.
