may 26th
  • call the mental health association my counsellor referred me to right when they open, in hopes that i’ll get to talk to someone instead of being put on hold and then sent to voicemail (actually completed this one prior to posting; i once again got sent to voicemail LOL, so gotta talk to my counsellor 🫡
  • attend class. one is asynchronous today, so i’ve only got 2 to worry about! 2/2 classes attended ✔️
  • complete parts 2 and 3 of my culminating assignment for one of my classes. ✔️
  • watch the podcast episode i chose for an assignment for one of my classes, and then begin working on the assignment ✔️
  • take the empty water bottles and containers in my room out. ✔️
  • complete my daily self-care and skincare routines. ✔️
more to add later most likely lol; i only find out what all my responsibilities for the day are as the day progresses 😅

today was a success!

  • clear out my kitty’s dry food bowl and get her some fresh food. ✔️
  • look through the clothes in my mom’s room she says she doesn’t want anymore. ✔️
my to-do list for the day is pretty short to start the day off!

I have to run the vacuum tomorrow in the living room. I would’ve done it today, but it got way too late for that. I’ll do this whenever I wake up. I’ll pop back in to edit this once I’ve done so.

Edit: It’s done, and now my room is clean! I needed some time to actually get up this morning, but at least it’s done. Now I’ll go eat something.

It's been a while. 😅 I've been in a bit of a slump for the past couple of weeks so hoping writing my to-do list down here will light a bit of a fire under me...

May 30th, 2023
  • Be at work by 7:00 a.m.
  • Reach inbox zero for the day
  • Pick up my book on hold from the library
  • Spend minimum half an hour tidying up the apartment
  • Go to bed by 10:30 p.m.

  • answer my scheduled phone call with my counsellor at 8:30am (she’s a few minutes late lol). ✔️
  • attend class. i have an appointment this afternoon, so i only have 1 class to worry about again today. 😅 1/1 class attended ✔️
  • attend my psychiatry assessment with my counsellor 1:00-2:30pm. ✔️
  • take the empty water bottles out of my room. ✔️
  • complete my daily skincare and self-care routines. ✔️

There’s just something about posting in this thread about the things you need to do and being able to cross it out afterwards. It’s satisfying. I can understand the motivation people get from this thread, and it’s so nice to see people actively using it.

I need to run the vacuum under my air mattress, but this might take a few days because of work and not being able to use the vacuum after certain hours. Apartment life, lol.

I got my swim trunks ordered which was a necessary thing for Disney World. (My mom paid for them!) I want to be able to enjoy the hot tub!
 
Omg I kind of love this thread idea??? I’m gonna try and start using it to hold myself accountable. I have unmedicated ADHD so being productive can be super hard for me. Pray for me y’all, here’s to hoping I can actually do productive stuff this summer 🫡
