Productivity & Accountability Thread

Today I took my car into the mechanic and had the inspection/oil change completed. I cleared out some incidents in my queue at work. I helped my husband with the dishes and got some stuff together for recycling.

Goals for this weekend:
- Do some cleaning up in the basement
- File my taxes
- Clean bathroom sink
- Organize cutlery drawer
- Set up new universal remote
- Download and set up FFXIV

That's kind of ambitious for me, but hopefully I get everything done.

Tomorrow's to-do list
  • Email someone I need to talk to about rescheduling something
  • Call my doctor and get refills on one of my meds
  • Laundry
  • Talk to building manager about meeting
  • Start working on the building's spring bulletin board designs
  • Take a shower
  • Clean shower
  • Vacuum apartment
  • Read 2 chapters of book

Goals for this weekend:
- Do some cleaning up in the basement (DONE!)
- File my taxes (DONE!)
- Clean bathroom sink
- Organize cutlery drawer (DONE!)
- Set up new universal remote (DONE!)
- Download and set up FFXIV (DONE!)

I can't believe I got almost everything on my list done this weekend! I could have cleaned the sink as well but I was exhausted and decided that could wait.

Personal Goals for this week:
- Pick up prescriptions
- Schedule vet appointment
- Clean bathroom sink
- Clean toilet
- Wash dishes

I finished my taxes. Probably the worst part was that I had to get one account's W2 online, but I couldn't log in without getting a 1-time code to a phone that no longer existed lol. So it took a lot of calls to finally get someone to help me change the number. Every time they'd mention this was a situation they needed to put me on hold for and then like 5-15 minutes later they would hang up on me lol.

Personal Goals for this week:
- Pick up prescriptions (DONE!)
- Schedule vet appointment (DONE!)
- Clean bathroom sink
- Clean toilet
- Wash dishes
- Wash, fold, and put away 2 loads of towels
- Check into alternate billing options for recycling service
- Pay more bills

I didn't have the most productive work day, but at least I got the 2 most important tasks on my personal list done.

April 17th 2023:
  • Do laundry
  • Buy groceries
  • Clean the bathtub
  • Eat 3 homemade meals
  • Attend flat viewing
  • Review MM manuscript structure
  • Prep lunch for tomorrow
  • Find some time to relax and enjoy day off!!

Okay, time to get back into this thing.

Today I need to:
pay my Carter’s bill
put away our suitcases from our trip for Nicholas’ surgery
probably do a load of laundry.

Hopefully I’ll be able to come back later and cross some of this out.

I am done with this day. I didn't get to relax or do anything I actually wanted to do when I had the house to myself.

Coming back to CROSS STUFF OFF!!

well….stuff was one thing. It’s a start I guess. But I DID get some other stuff done that I needed to that I didn’t have on this list.
- called to request a referral for X-rays and a CT scan of Nicholas’ feet following our trip to Philly.
- got Nicholas in his standing wheelchair for 40 mins today. It’s recommended that he gets in it 40 mins a day at least 5 days a week, but it’s a two person job to get him in - one to hold him and one to strap him in.

My work at the moment is super tedious, so I'm going to start setting some goals so I feel like I'm achieving something lol

Tomorrow:
- get the remaining culvert inspections done on W Road (hopefully) (~100 remaining)
- start logging the data in
- get a selfie stick so I can stop hurting myself lol

Friday:
- continue logging the data in
- start culvert inspections on Te W Road (aim for 50-70)

I totally failed this thread so I'm back to hopefully cross some stuff off!
  • Clean bathrooms
  • Do a load of laundry
  • Move box of donations to the basement
  • Buy the stuff in my Amazon cart
  • Buy Captain Toad with gift cards
  • Buy a bookshelf (long-short term goal)

April 24/25

  • Set up interview time and reply to email
  • Reply to job I interviewed at last week and turn down the next interview with them
  • Set up appointment with HelloWork (called and the department I need just does walk ins)
  • Fill out profile on one other job hunting site
  • Correct "sales" amount on resume
  • Book hotel for Golden Week

Edit: Ended up getting home late and was working on something else so I'm allowing myself to finish this on the 25th instead

Also went through the basement once more and organized/decluttered some more. Now there's a huge pile of to sell/donate/toss and it feels so good!

April 26

  • Fill out profile for three job hunting sites
  • Do write up on Lang-8 to practice things I want to say in interview and possible ways to re-write my resume
  • Respond to person?
  • Research buses for GW trip, see if reservations are possible Not only were reservations possible there were only a few seats left for the times I wanted next week! Good thing I checked today
  • Order new portable charger

Some goals I put off before since I realized I didn't need to do them or I had to do something else first

Looks like I'll have to postpone my oil change. Someone stole my ramps. They're hard to miss.
Sooo.
Change oil
Replace driver belt
Flush and add radiator fluid
Replace brakes
Find my ramps with a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career.
Took a while, but I managed to change my oil and change the engine coolant. Still have to replace the brakes, but they still have some mileage left on them so it's not too bad.
