Anyone know if there is any place still selling legit splatoon 3 pro controllers? The one I just ordered ended up being a fake. Play-Asia is selling some but do I need to worry about them being fake? The picture shows it is the Japanese version, but the version is still compatible with any switch right?

Play Asia is legit I’ve ordered from them before. It’s probably your best bet as it’s long sold out at North American retailers and most online will be at scalper prices. Play Asia has a fair price though. But yes version doesn’t matter. My original set of Joycons were imported from Japan (was probably from Play Asia actually) and they work just fine with North American Switches.

Anyone else excited for BIG Big Run? I know I am! I recently earned a silver stage badge on Jammin Junction which I’m proud of. I haven’t won a Bronze badge on another stage before nevermind a silver one until now.

I just wanted to share my proud Big Run achievement. Prior to the scoring system being changed to a set egg score I was never able to obtain gold as it required a score within the top 5% of all players. While not required for a gold reward anymore I finally got within the top 5%! I also reached the highest rank I’ve ever gotten in Salmon Run period at EVP700. Hopefully one day I’ll catch max hazard.

I hope everyone else who played Big Run had a lot of fun as well!

Here’s my results of the last couple Big Runs since the change to the new scoring:

I didn’t even notice the scoring changed, this was my second ever Big Run. I did one in December? 2022 (the first one) and missed all the ones in between My high score this time was 88 eggs

I recently started playing Splatoon 3 more religiously ^^ I always used to play alone, but now I have a decently sized group of friends to play with. I'm a roller main at the moment until I can find something I really really like. I'm not exactly improving the way I want to with the rollers though, and I heard the Bloblobber is great for beginners! ^^
I've been playing since Splat2, but I was never very good at it. However, I'm hyperfixating HARD on it. I started off with 20 hours of playtime right before the Big Big Run, but then it suddenly sky-rocketed to 60 hours of playtime.. I'm hooked, to say the least xD

What weapon does everyone main? ^^ I like the good ol' Splat Roller, but Big Swig Roller is good (in my personal opinion), also. :3
I finally was able to unlock the Bloblobber, since I just reached level 19 and got a weapon ticket that I could redeem. I'm gonna test out the Bloblobber a bit before I decide on what weapon I truly want to main! :3

I am not sure what my main is yet; I got a lot of weapons that I like but only managed to make one build so far. First, I liked the silver Aerospray, then the inkbrush nouveau, after that the gold Aerospray. Other weapons I’ve been trying that I like are: the splatana wiper, the goober tuber (or whatever it is called), and the bloblobber deco. I think I’m getting better with the bloblobber so maybe atm, it’s my main. Technically, the gold aerospray is my main since that is the only one I have a full build for so far.

Any roller other than Dynamo with all swim speed up is my favourite cause I can be mischievous

My whole play style is annoy the other team really, works quite well on ranked because the people that fall for it start targeting me rather than the zone or rainmaker etc

Congratulations! i only got 160 as a highscore, and that’s top 7%. i’m surprised 9 eggs is a whole 3%!?
i felt that it was nice of nintendo to change the big run rules so more players could get the awards and at the same time eliminated stress for players not knowing what was top 5%. (although i think the cap for gold is set too low, it’s not as fun when you can reach it *that easily* you know?)

What weapon does everyone main?

i main vanilla splattershot, tentatek splattershot. i wish i could say i main nautilus but lol i’m not that great with it. i just love that weapon :’)

i honestly really really love having a teammate with your play style because i’m more of a support player myself. sometimes i lobby into a team of 3 of yous and i’m turned into a backliner lol it’s great XD

I was able to earn my bronze badge on Sockeye Station this weekend. Which required reaching a rank of EVP400. It was pretty tough but I’m happy to have another checkpoint badge!

It also looks like all idol groups are taking a stance this time. Squid Sisters (Callie & Marie) are Past, Off the Hook (Pearl & Marina) are Present, and Deep Cut (Shiver, Frye & Big Man) are Future.

I WAS FREAKING OUT! I am so excited… I can’t decide but I may go with present or past! The new amiibo look so good too, I’ll definitely be picking those up by the end of the year. The new concert hub is super cool and I am manifesting that Inkopolis News comes back depending on which hub you are in for future rotations.

According to leakers the Grand Festival may be both a Big Run and Splatfest which would be really cool if they offer both. Maybe evacuating the cities

Sooo conflicted
Every time I think I’m leaning one way, I start think of the advantages of the other two options

Currently, I’m between Present and Future. I do feel like the Present is more important to focus on, but I also feel like it’s important to try to build a better future for later generations.

Also, considering if this Fest decides the aesthetics of Splatoon 4, I am even more conflicted. Splatoon as a series thrived on retro aesthetics. But I also want to encourage the dev team to innovate and go ham with their idea of “future”

I feel like I’ll get a better handle when they reveal more about it

Tried my best at the most recent Eggstra Work. So close to the top 5% this time but not quite! Considering I got even closer this time compared to last time I consider that an improvement. Ended up 3 eggs shy. Here’s hoping next time I can push just that little bit further!

Grand Festival hype real!! This is going to be my first final fest since I missed the first two due to not having the games at the time. I can't wait to hear the music and see all the idol performances!

Honestly I'm stuck between Present and Future at the moment. I want to work hard in the present to create a good future for me, but at the same time since I am focused on the future I might as well go for team future. I have time to decide so by the time the fest starts I'll make my decision!

I’ve decided on team present for the final fest. All 3 are important though. We learn from the past and plan for the future, but the present is now. We use the knowledge from the past to plan for the future but we can only do that in the present if that makes any sense.

Just earned my Bronze stage badge in Salmon Run for Bonerattle (EVP400)! That’s Bronze on 3 of 7 stages so far. Not sure which map will be next but I’m going to keep on trying my best.
