Applied a linear burn in the final stage.
Afterwards, I copied and pasted the whole egg into the 28x28 file, then I used the blank egg fileto help refine the edges of my Chrysalis egg so that they have the exact same shape. I made a couple tweaks in pixel form, mainly to the dots because they're so tiny

@Millysaurusrexjr your egg is beautiful! And I loved seeing all of the detailed progress shots which acts as a tutorial all on its own! Even though it looks highly intimidating, lol! It’s my favorite so far even though we probably haven’t even seen 25% of what will be submitted. I’m already thinking it’s a shame we can’t have multiple winners! Of course that would also mean multiple new collectibles.

I honestly just wanted to make an egg that was ocean/beach themed because I feel like there's a lack of that kind of theme collectible-wise, and wanted to try bringing something new to the table.I went through lots of trial and error with this one but I had a lot of fun. The easter eggs are some of my favourite collectibles tbh and I use them year-round, so it was really neat to have the chance to create one myself!

Ok, so I just ordered an iPad pencil, convinced it will greatly increase my ability to conquer this fear of trying to create art for TBT! Hehe. Luckily I have an Amazon distribution center not far away so it will arrive by mid afternoon. I have resisted buying one since I purchased one late last year when I bought my iPad Pro. The problem is, I never used it. I didn’t like the way it was to sit on top edge of the iPad for charging as it easily got knocked off. So I put it aside. In a drawer? On a shelf? I do not know. For the past few months I have torn my house apart several times to no avail. It is just gone! I never even used it once. I’m still bummed by that, lol. Oh well TBT has incentivized me to finally bite the bullet and buy another one! Here’s to learning to create an Easter egg!

Agree! I do all the art events using my phone, and while I'm not an artist, i still like to have fun designing an attempting things. Participation rewards are usually pretty awesome - esp the egg currency!
I’m going to have to stalk YouTube and watch all of the vid’s I can on how to use procreate to…well create!

For the last 34 hours I've been thinking about eggs all the time. Drawing in such a small resolution was (again) a fun challenge, hard but fun, but I got way too invested so I'm glad I'm finally done. I present you:
Starshine Egg I had many ideas but one of my first was to make a falling star. I wasn't very happy with the result at first, but after exploring a few other concepts I tried again with the star and it somehow went in a nice direction. I drew it in the original size and it was so hard to make the shapes look good, especially the star. Between the third and final image there were a crazy amount of new layers and experiments.
The only other idea I more of less finished was the Flame Egg. I like it too, but the Starshine Egg is much more my aesthetics so I went with that one as my entry.
Finished but don’t think it will be accepted? I didn’t draw in the egg template but two separate drawings which I pasted together (I can’t do layers) I then copied it onto the egg. Will that be ok? No worries if not, spent hours (doesn’t look it but I’m slow) but it was fun drawing anyway
