The Bell Tree World Championship 2024: Closing Ceremony

This was such exciting news to log on to WHOOOO!!! I wasn’t expecting the closing ceremony to go live so quickly!

I want to congratulate my fellow Squirtles first and foremost! Earning almost 10k points is incredible, and the dedication, time and work each of us put in to get those points was no easy feat! This has been a crazy and busy couple of weeks, but I am so proud of us! It’s been so fun being a Squirtle with you all! Special thanks to @~Kilza~ and @Pyoopi for being our biggest cheerleaders and our encouraging team leaders, @S.J. and @MrBox for staying on top of all the happenings and helping us stay on top of them as well, @lieryl for designing our beautiful team flag, @BungoTheElf for designing our iconic team emote, and @Mokuren for being our MVP!

I also want to congratulate the Yoshi’s Islanders, Ha-Chas! and Poyo Puffs! I know it’s easy to get caught up in the competitive, points and winning/losing components of team events, but regardless of which team you’re on, where your team placed overall and how many points you earned, I hope you all had fun and that you’re proud of yourselves and the effort you’ve all put in! It was a blast spectating and playing games with you! The Yoshis, Ha-Chas! and Poyo Puffs definitely won the best backdrops and cutest aesthetic competitions, though; ya’ll are SO cute!

Thanks for another super fun TBTWC, staff! I can’t imagine this was an easy event to schedule, organize and track, but I’m very grateful for and in awe of all your work! I’m also thankful for the new games I’ve been introduced to and now love, and the list of games I have to still check out! Among Us and Quiplash my new beloveds, and I’ve been enjoying Splatoon 3 as well (even though I’m not even a little bit good at it LOL)!

I’ll leave you all with what I told my team the other night: please take care of yourselves, SLEEP, and remember that Moo Moo Meadows is the best MK track!

I’ve really enjoyed playing games, spectating, and getting to know all of you better over the past two weeks! We had a lot of late nights and early mornings, and overall, just not enough sleep! Do Squirtles brumate like turtles do? Either way, I hope you all go brumate now! You all need more sleep!

Also, super congratulations to @VillageDweller for winning first place in the Pokémon Tournament, and @Flyffel for winning second place in the Pokémon tournament! Clearly the gym leaders of Squirtle Squad Station.

Every member of our team has been vital in building our points total, cheering for and encouraging each other, motivating us, and organising us during the event. It can be hard to worry about where you’re going to place in competitive games, so thank you to all of our team for constantly building each other up and cheering us on no matter our placement. Thank you all for being the best team!

Congrats to all of the other teams! Regardless of which team you were on, it was a lot of fun playing and spectating with you all! It was also fun to look through all your cheers!

Thank you as always to the staff for coordinating and hosting all of the activities, being team leaders, making art/back drops/collectibles, and doing all the technical stuff that I don’t understand! Shout out to those of you that were asleep when you were scheduled to host a gaming session. All of you definitely need more sleep, so please, go and do that right now!

Congrats Team1/Squirtles! Way to go Besty on getting 1st place! We've been paired up on the deadlast teams for each event and it's great to see that you finally got a win!

I also want to extend that to the other teams to! It was a lot of fun spectating and gaming with you all and all of you made this event what it was. It was so much fun!!!

Way to go everyone who got MVP and nice work Zane! You did so much for our team with all the games you joined. And it was entertaining watching you in Mario Party do so well and or have some wild comeback victories!

There's just so many I could thank for how you all supported our team that this would just be a never-ending post. I noticed all of your efforts and what you contributed to our team and I'm proud of what you all accomplished! It was so much fun being a team with you all and I hope we can continue gaming together this year and onward!

I'm sure there are some who are upset they couldn't get 1st place, but honestly? I'm happy that I broke my last place curse with all of the team events. I would've stopped doing these if I get last place again (not knocking any member wherever you placed you all did great! but it's kinda demoralizing to get last place alllll the time lol.)

Thank you to the Poyo Puffs for been such a fab, friendly team - loved been teammates with you all and all the support everyone gave each other. As with all these events I always regret that I can't start tagging everyone or else this will get really long but wanted to give a couple of shoutouts - @Mistreil and @LadyDestani for been amazing team leaders who led us Poyos brilliantly, @digimon for not only been our MVP but also the overall MVP, your dedication and haul of points blew me away - truly a deserving winner of Inky! And @Cheremtasy and @.: Meri :. for the beautiful team aesthetic and the best discord emote! To every other Poyo thank you for two weeks of fun, never forget how amazing you are and looking forward to keeping up with you all in the Poyo chat

Biggest thank you goes to all the staff (and Ribbot) for once again putting on a brilliant event, say this after every event but the time and effort that goes into putting these together for everyone never fails to amaze me - hope everyone is able to relax now and get that much needed rest! Special thanks for all the streams, enjoyed all the ones I watched but especially the secret streams - great way to end the event and super entertaining to watch, even if some of you were a bit too good at getting rid of each other in Among Us

I’ve been a member here a long time and I never stop being amazed at your consistent dedication to organizing large events like this, for free and all on your own time, and for no reason other than you want to do something fun for everyone. You guys are stars. ️

Also I may have earned the most points but I’d be crazy not to give a shoutout to @-Blue-! They went above and beyond creating a chronological schedule of events, posting reminders of what sessions were taking place each day/when streams were happening, and putting together several friendly hide and seek games for the team. What an incredible teammate!

One of my favorite parts of the event was getting to host during one of the competitive hide and seek sessions. I got overwhelmed reading the chat so I didn’t reply to much but if you said something nice about my island, I did read it and I appreciated it very much

And finally a shoutout to all the Yoshi’s Islanders, it’s been a lot of fun chatting with you all and cheering you on the past two weeks!

First and foremost, THANK YOU staff for putting so much time and work into this event. I cannot even imagine how hard it could’ve been to fit this in your everyday lives when I know all of you have every day lives to lead and yet you still put in so much time for all of us. You guys are the best!!!!

Congrats Squirtles!!! I know you guys must be over the moon right now! To all of our other teams; Yoshis, Poyos and my beloved Ha-cha’s! You all did so very well whether you watched, cheered, suggested, competed, raced, hid, seeked, splatted, fought, battled, collected stars, shiny hunted, created, fibbed, quipped, designed tee’s, (or even if u were a little sus), all the efforts showed and I luved being a part of it all!!!

And congrats to all the team MVPs (especially Digi!! you absolutely knocked it out of the park omg... I hope you're resting well after all of that!) and to everyone who placed in the tournaments as well!

The TBTWC Patch looks super pretty!! ;w; I also love the kind of floral design, and I think the purple + four sparkles tie it all together really nicely. Very happy to be adding it to my patch collection!!

Thank you so much for this event, staff!! Gaming and chatting with everyone over these past two weeks was so, so much fun—it was without a doubt the most social I've been in quite some time LOL. Especially considering the amount of sleep that was sacrificed over this, I hope you all get plenty of quality rest before Fair preparation starts!
I wish I could've worked in more time for shiny-hunting, but maybe next time! Hopefully this'll be sufficient motivation to catch me up on Pokémon games by then. Whenever it may be, I'll definitely be looking forward to the next TBTWC!

And shoutout to my fellow Poyo Puffs! I loved being on our team, and I'll be holding onto this Poyo Pink aesthetic for a little while longer. As long as we had fun, that's all that matters, and I know I did!

This was a really enjoyable event! It was nice to have a larger selection of games to play, and spectate as well. I was glad it was more of a friendly competition in this event. Woohoo Squirtles! The backdrop is a lovely colour, cool crown, and super happy to win the Pokemon tournament and get that gold trophy!

Shoutout to the MVPs, you guys got a ton, a ton of points!! And also, congrats to the others in the top 10; Halloqueen, Jhine7, Doo, Chibi.Hoshi, Rio_ and skarmoury!! And everyone who participated, I hope you all had a lot of fun playing and spectating things, no matter how much you did! It was also lovely to see people interested in Super Mario Bros Wonder from the streams and wanting to get the game <3 The format of this event and the way it was ran was in my opinion, pretty well done, thank you to all the staff who contributed and organised things.

congratulations to the squirtle squad for winning tbtwc 2024!! a big congrats also to all the the trophy (i see you pokemon master @VillageDweller , literally ash if he slayed) and fellow mvp winners!! i almost can't believe that this event is over omg! it's such a bittersweet feeling cause i know everyone could use the rest and running everything took so much incredible work, but tbtwc is one of my all time favourite events! i had so much fun playing games and pleeking chatting and goofing off on the discord channels, it's something i will miss dearly ;u; i wanna thank all the poyos for being so amazing! we had the very best aesthetic and theme thanks to the wonderful @Cheremtasy + @.: Meri :. !! i feel like i really factor that in during events, and a great theme/aesthetic always motivates me to keep on pushing forward! i'm so very proud to be a poyo puff!! i couldn't have chosen a better team to be on! i love you poyos and we'll always have our poyo puffs perfect pastel party pleek palace playhouse

Congrats Squirtles on first place and @Mokuren @Zane @shellbell @digimon on mvps! It was a pleasure seeing you all, chatting and participating in game sessions with all of you . I had a blast!

I had a blast this tbtwc! Thank you staff for your hard work and hosting this; this is one of my favorite tbt events and I was so happy to be able to participate more with more games this year . I was bummed I didn’t get a lot of the sessions I signed up for in Mario Party and Hide and Seek, but I understand that you needed to balance the teams and give everyone a chance to play .

I think one of the biggest highlights of the tbtwc event was making more friends and talking more to people I was too shy to chat to . It is really difficult for me to make friends so it made me so happy that more people wanted to chat or follow me on here.

Also, the cheers and encouragement I got in the discord chat really made me happy. I was so nervous about playing in streams and for upsetting my teammates for either my lack of skill or mess ups, but they were all really kind and supportive . I loved too how players on all teams cheered for anyone regardless of teams.

Feedback: The sportsmanship was overall excellent but I did notice or hear about some elitism in chat that concerned me a lot. I got 5 negative reactions during a mario party session that really upset me and also a comment that had rude undertones. I mentioned how I was bad as the single player in a 1 vs 3 minigame with a piranha plant 5 reactions. Is it wrong to be bad at a mini game; did that really deserve shaming someone for being bad? I admit that I deleted my comment since it upset me so much I couldn’t look at it and didn’t think to take a screenshot. I know next time to leave it up and take a screenshot. Still, I’d like something to be done about bad behavior. I heard about some excessive boasting and rude behavior in the Pokemon tournament too. I understand there is only so much staff can do, but I’d like something to be done to address the behavior or monitor somehow. I know it is up to the people that has been affected to report it but I still would like to bring behavior to attention.
