Does anyone know why my profile background keeps disappearing and then later it randomly reappears? I bought the Christmas lights backdrop.
Eta: just before posting this the backdrop was missing. As soon as I posted “poof” its back! But it has done this throughout the day.

I bought a username change for ten seashells a bit ago, and ended up closing the tab without choosing a new username. The transaction shows up on my profile but I now can’t use the username change. Did it eat up my shells or am I just looking in the wrong place to use it?

I noticed there's been an influx of posts saying "do not reply to this post" and even "do not react to this post", is that something that's actually enforced?

I feel like if something's that personal to you or if you're that worried about what other people may think/say, it's best kept to a private place like a journal, friends, or private social media rather than a public forum that encourages discussion. It's the most concerning when said posts cause worry about someone's health or wellbeing, or are controversial in nature.

Go to your inventory and there you'll find your username change item. Next to "Settings" you should find another option called "Configure", where you can change your username. Here's a screenshot just in case, it's for a user title thing I never used but you'll see something similar for the username change item.

As someone who puts this occasionally in WBY posts, I see where you're coming from. However, I tend to think about posting there more than venting somewhere else privately because I feel more comfortable doing it for some reason. I will look into other methods though.

Anyway, to answer your question: I don't think it's enforced by moderators. Though if I say in a post to not react/reply people will usually follow that out of respect. Sometimes people choose to reply anyway to help out or send condolences, and I can't really stop them since it's their choice after all.

Is it against the rules to unnecessarily ping staff members? I remember that some servers on Discord don’t allow pinging server staff members unless if it’s necessary. I’m not sure if it’s not allowed here either.
