Villager Trading Plaza Feedback

Anyways, getting back on the main topic..

Anything you guys (mods/admins) are thinking about changing?

*sigh* I'm not trolling at all. I'm just annoyed that I've never achieved anything from cyclers. I am NOT from ACC. I was being serious. I dislike cycling. I do not think it is ever done fast enough, and on top of that, like I said, it requires you to be online 24/7 in order to pick up your villager, and I just can't do that. I think cycling should be moved to a different section of the forum because it obstructs my way of trying to find my Ruby. I guess I grew up in a situation in which nobody ever had time for things like cycling. Honestly? If I resorted to one particular cycler, it would be a year before I got Ruby. I understand that a lot of people like it, but I don't. Also, I don't want any of these supposed popular villagers like Zucker, Julian, Ankha, Stitches, Marshal, Shep, Marina, Tangy, etc, etc. I just don't understand their popularity. The only one I understand is Bob. I'm just going to say that if you don't agree with me, fine, but we're all free to have and voice our opinions. ^^

Villager cycling might not be effective for you, but that doesn't make it ineffective for everyone else. You have to figure that the one villager you're looking for is pretty popular, so of course you're not gonna have the easiest time finding her.

I don't think we'll be banning it or moving it to it's own section, if anything maybe give it it's own tag to differentiate it from normal giveaway.

But that aside, try to take it easy folks. Keep it civil.

So glad to hear you won't be isolating the cycling threads. I do like the idea of the cycling tag though. Then people could filter on cycling threads if they so desired. ;)

I don't want to confirm anything just yet, but yeah I'm pretty sure we won't be isolating the cycling threads.

Omg, please do not add buying/looking for tags. It will be chaotic with "Looking for MARSHAL or Looking for STITCHES" all over the place. -.-

yeah it would clog up the place.
idk i dont have any more ideas because the villager trading place is already pretty neat and organized.

I think we need guidelines for auctions. Every couple of "auction" tagged posts I see people just going "highest bid wins" with no indication as to when the auction will end, or if there's a buyout etc.

There should be a standard for how auctions are run, or maybe a template? Or at minimum there should be at least be an endtime for each auction with a mandatory timezone.

I'd say it depends on how strict you want the standard. If it's something like, "You must have a designated end-time, buy-out, etc," then I say yes. I'd love more structure for auctions. But if it's something like "All auctions are exactly 14 hours long" (I don't think you mean this, windfall,) then no thanks.

Yep, I meant the first bit, with the guidelines/standards.

That's what I figured. Then yeah, I'm all for that. Also, we need something that says, "Don't start an auction unless you're 100% positive you'll go through with it and not end in the middle."

Yes, that sounds like a good idea too! If someone ends the auction because of cold feet, it's unfair to everyone bidding, especially if it's a popular villager.

Exactly.

Also, I echo the sentiments of others. We don't need a Buying tag. Please don't give us one.

Agreed.

I like these too.

Yeah. You thought the giveaway thread was clogged? Imagine the sub-forum with Buying tags. Makes me shiver.

Yep.

[Buying] Marshal, [Buying] Merengue, [Buying] Stitches, [Buying] ALL MY DREAMIES x10000

Then you go inside..

Person 1 is buying Marshal for 4 million, while another is buying him for 10 million. Same goes for the rest. Competition everywhere.

No thanks!
