We can remodel villager houses now - Who is first in line for you?

Hmm I'm trying to really think. I would say I would say I want to Remodel Roscoe's home, although I like his black home interior I feel like if I gave it a mix of a blue color that can really match my style.

I still have Reneigh in her starter home. And the thing that’s driving me nuts, is she has no darn wallpaper. She’s my first victim.

Coco! She was one the first to move in so she still has the default home :'( i thought about moving her out to a friend and than have her move back, but that is such a hassle since I never TT and I feel it involves a little risk that I somehow mess it up and lose her forever.
So if I'll finally be able to redo her house she won't have to leave my island and that is soo amazing!

Also, now I'm thinking about it, does this actually mean I can change *all* her furniture AND wallpaper/flooring? Or did I misinterpret?

Baabara.......i just got her 2 days ago and oh god, the interior of her house is giving me hives. for a self proclaimed stylish animal she sure has a questionable home decor taste LOL

This makes me sad I let Butch move away before I put the game down. His house is very hard to redecorate properly through gifting, so I would've loved to be able to spruce his place up directly.

I will probably make their homes look good and get rid of the warehousey clothes/accessories look, but I don't want to turn their homes into a shop or anything.

I will just do that with some random human villager I make.

Oh my god right? He was one of my mains in NL and his house looked sleek and nice, but along comes NH and he's hit hard times or something.

I'm not planning on getting the DLC anytime soon, but the only one I'd change would be Cherry's starter home. I've been slowly changing that one myself by gifting her items, so I might even be able to do that without the DLC anyway.

I’ll start with Sherb, his house interior isn’t awful and he doesn’t have a load of random items on display but there is one big issue - a garbage can. I think he received it in a gift I delivered from another villager and it’s been sat in his room for months now, ruining the aesthetic so it’s got to go.

After that I’ll probably sort out Raymond’s interior, he doesn’t have any terrible items on display but has received many gifts and his home is starting to look too cluttered so I’d like to tidy it up a little.

Definitely Kid Cat for me. His interior is decorated like he's a stray street cat, poor thing. Going to give him a proper gym or something.

Olivia is second, I'd like to give her a bit nicer furniture; the new rococo furniture will suit her really well.

After Olivia, probably either Raymond or Audie. Raymond's isn't so bad, but I'd like to give Audie a better beach house or something.

I'm ultimately going to change up most, if not all of my villager's homes, even if it's subtle changes. So excited for this DLC.

I think I might bring Weber back and redesign his house. I really hated how it was just full of musical instruments and had no character (in my opinion at least).

I can now finally redesign Genji’s starter home…but after more than a year and a half of gifting him things to spruce up his home as best I could, and making it seem more suited to him, I have kind of become attached to it…

Definitely Zucker. I want to give him a proper home and not have him live in some night food stall imitation mess. I would love to be able to expand the size of their houses too like in HHP but I doubt that will be a possibility somehow.
+1, Zucker is so adorable, but his home is a disaster. Really keen on giving Marina (one of my starters) a beautiful Mermaid lagoon now too 🥺

I would've said Merry but she just moved(outside of her house is really pretty but inside is horrible). i actually gave her a new table and chairs but it needed so much more. I'm really stumoed cause I like my villagers houses and feel like they fit them. I would probably make minor changes like getting rid of giant fish tanks or ugly clothes they diplayed. I might change Walts house just so it remsembles an actual house and not a weird garden. He doesn't even have a bed or a chair

Cleo... I love her design but her house has always caused me grief. I mean I guess it's cute but it just doesn't seem to mesh very well in my opinion, I always get frustrated when their houses don't have a bed lol!

I was trying to think of an answer because I assumed I would have one, but I actually can't think of a villager house I have that I dislike! To be fair, I hardly visit my villagers. I'm sure I'll have a lot of fun redoing them anyway!

It's nice that there will not be as much stress to trade gifted villagers now. I've never really cared as much if a villager I wanted somebody to trade me had a ruined house, but I know it matters a lot to other people. I definitely cared a lot more in New Leaf because getting a villager you wanted was much more special back then. You would go into Re-Tail, see Muffy put her sofa up for sale, then rebuy it and passive aggressively regift it lol

I wasn't planning to have longtime favorite villager Antonio on my NH island since I try not to repeat villagers, but he happened to be my starter Jock and I couldn't say no. I was thrilled to see that his home would upgrade alongside mine as I played the game. Until I realized it actually wouldn't ever upgrade at all.

Seriously, I know most starter houses are bad, but Antonio's is the worst I've ever seen, by far. White wood walls. White wood floor. White wood table. Sleeping bag on the ground. Why does Nintendo hate my boy so much. Can't wait to give him an ACCENT WALL and maybe some freakin CARPET and like a bed and maybe a refrigerator. At least let him stop dusting his sleeping bag. Very sad to watch.

TBH, not many of my current ones come to mind. But ones I've had in the past I would redo if I had them again (seriously, whose house was Paula living in?). Though, I'm planning on looking for Jacques soon, and I'd probably redo his (especially if we can redo exteriors, lol... I really hope we can, I am so picky with having my villager houses match that it'd be GAME CHANGING for me and open up the possibility of so many different villagers). I like his whole design, but when I see him I think "free spirit travelling the world" not "DJ".

Oh, I'd consider doing Vesta, too. Her house is nice, but the whole thing is basically one big laundry room, and if we could do dividers and stuff I could do a nice laundry room AND kitchen or something.

I mean, it's not just him, all starter villagers get similar things. (though I actually though Erik's house was way cooler as a starter home). But I feel ya, especially since I have Antonio in his regular home, and it's one of the ones I immediately thought I wouldn't really change, because it's super cute. Maybe new wallpaper and stuff, but otherwise it's actually really cute. It's not too childish, but manages to keep a whimsical, boyish feel all the same.
