What Are You Happy About Today?

☾ I played Jack Jeanne some more today! I got to see all the weekend events that I didn't choose from the last route (not counting the common route ones of course ahaha, just the ones leading up to the final performance), and I was able to go ahead and start my next playthrough too!
☾ I got to spend some time chilling with my parents, cuddling with the kitties, and watching Youtube! ^^ My mom and I also watched Markiplier's latest Amnesia: The Bunker episode, and it's still hilarious. It feels like a looong time since I've seen a game that had Mark scared like this.

- Finished with work for the week! And kinda happy with what I did at work today too, got some stuff done!

- I baked some ginger shortbread biscuits and I'm so happy with how they turned out, they're delicious 😋

- My mum decided she wants to go to Singapore + Malaysia with me next year!! I was thinking I'd have to solo travel so I'm pretty happy she decided to come 🥰

Now I need a floating shelf for standees, because this is just the beginning. Also, because my offspring have grabby hands. 😅
 
Okay, this will be my last very personal post, but I now believe I have everything set up the way I like it and are back to normal now. I can finally relax and be myself and do the things I love. Anyway, started up my Pokémon Violet game once more today. Lots to do, but I’m gonna work hard on my games for now on, so no more changing stuff. (Other than avatars and/or signatures, etc. You know, stuff that’s okay to change from time to time. >.>)
 
I meant to post abt this yesterday but stuff's been crazy haha. anyways while I was out on the 4th, before I had to start helping set up for the concert, I decided I would walk wayyy down to the retro game store (a decent walk but hey it was a really lovely weather kinda day) and check out their wares. they had a copy of Mario Party 3 but I couldn't justify paying the price they were asking, maybe somewhere down the road I will but I'm trying to save up my money right now, so I had to pass.

so I browsed around a bit more, and I found something arguably better: Mario Power Tennis on the Gamecube! it's funny actually, a few weeks earlier I was at this store specifically looking for that game, because I've actually been wanting to own it for a good long time, but they didn't have it. well I guess sometime between then and now they got it in their possession, and since it was a price point I could justify ($40 so still kind of an oof) I bought it!
I haven't bought a new gamecube game since I got Luigi's Mansion wayyyy back in 2013, so it's pretty exciting to finally add another gamecube game to my collection! I haven't had the chance to play it yet, but I'm really excited to see all the Wario and Waluigi tomfoolery play out in cutscenes, and of course tennis is my favorite sport so I always appreciate a good Mario Tennis game hehe 🎾

this even came complete in box which, as a physical game collector, I very much appreciate 😌

*⁀➷ i’ve been resisting the urge to spend too much money lately, but i caved today and bought 2 adorable hoodies (which is actually insane considering the heat wave going on, but y’know 😙🫶)! they’re genuinely two of the cutest things i’ve ever seen in my life, and they came with free shipping!! i am so excited 🥹 thank you @-Lumi- and @Saylor for helping me decide what colour to get ily

*⁀➷ i continued working on the story i’m writing! i’ve been stuck on how to write a certain part the past couple of days, but i finally figured it out today and am back in business! i’m less than halfway to 6k words now and i only have two chapters 😅 help

*⁀➷ i had a pretty nice counselling session today!! my counsellor was so proud of everything i’ve accomplished the past few weeks, and i made her laugh a lot! today was actually our last official session; i have 4 bonus sessions that i can ask her for whenever, but for the most part we’re pretty much done. :’) i’m sad and nervous to be done with this type of counselling since having someone to talk to each week has been so helpful, but i’m curious to see how i’ll do without it 🥹🩵

*⁀➷ i had to drop something off that belonged to my old school yesterday, and my principal happens to be set up at my very first elementary school this week! it was surreal and very full-circle to step foot in there after 10+ years, but i thought it was fitting since dropping the thing off was the last thing i needed to do school-wise. my principal also gave me a free school hoodie while i was there, which was cool!

*⁀➷ i showed my best friend my grad photos tonight!! i was super nervous to since they are… something LOL, but he was so sweet and gave me so many compliments 😭😭 i love him so much 🩵

Today I'm happy because:

- I'm done with work for the day. I swear if I had to sit through one more meeting my head would have exploded.
- I did manage to finish my most important work tasks.
- I took walks on both my morning and afternoon breaks.
- I actually took all of my breaks today and even found a secluded room to read for a bit during lunch.
- Tomorrow is Friday and I have very few meetings scheduled.
- I get to leave work early tomorrow for a chiropractor appointment.
 
☾ I made a couple more rubber band bracelets today! I've been having fun with another rainbow gradient, and I also noticed a few sets of colors within the ones I chose for the rainbow that I think look really good together too, so I'm planning to make some bracelets with just those as well!
☾ My family and I got to watch Grian's latest episode of Hermitcraft! It was really funny and I can't wait to see where the Buttercups will go from here. 👀
☾ I got to play more Jack Jeanne! It's still making me laugh out loud, and I'm doing good so far with the rhythm games on Hard difficulty instead of Normal, but it's only going to get more challenging from here I think ahahaha.
 
I had a really good day today <3333

1. My dentist appointment went well
2. My grandma got me Dairy Queen afterwards. I ate it over at my her and my grandpa's house.
3. My cousins were also over at the house and we all swam for a bit after I ate my DQ. :,)
 
I was missing in action for a few days due to the fact that I’ve been busy recently lol.

  • I finally started my new job and the first day went pretty good! I made some mistakes here and there, but nothing major that ended up being costly. After all, I never worked in an auto shop before oops. I already had some opportunities to do oil changes and it’s really simple once you know the steps and have the tools for it! 🚗
  • I had an iced capp from Tim Hortons after work. The heat makes it taste better!

June 4, 2023
  • Feel free to skip this point. On my way home to work, I was pleasantly surprised to see the classic Fiat 500 again that I initially spotted nearly a couple of years ago! It was parked on the side and because of how small it is, the width of the car only took up half of the lane and probably even less than that if parked right up to the curb.
I didn’t really have anything else worth mentioning as I was very busy on that day.


June 5, 2023
  • While I was pretty much assisting the people at work, I got to unbolt a tire from a vehicle and helped replace the muffler which was a nice change of pace! It was an interesting one for me as I had to start a car that had a manual transmission which was new for me (held down the clutch pedal before turning on the engine). I didn’t go beyond that since I don’t really know how to move from a standstill yet aside from watching a couple of tutorials a while back. Most of the fear came from the fact that it was a customer’s car and I didn’t want to risk stalling the engine and breaking something oops. It's silly how I'm a car enthusiast and I don't know how to drive a manual yet lol. Anyways, I still did a few oil changes of course. I ended up finishing my shift early as things were starting to slow down in the afternoon. Because of this…
  • I ended up relaxing for quite a while after arriving home. I also got to play Tears of the Kingdom eventually! I’ll be honest, I really needed that to put my mind at ease.

June 6, 2023
  • I had a day off from work so I got to relax at home some more.
  • The fifth wave of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe dlc will be releasing next week! I saw the video where the new tracks are showcased. A lot were happy that a couple more tracks from Mario Kart Wii had returned (Moonview Highway is pretty great with the bob omb cars lol), but I’m happier with the fact that they brought back Sunset Wilds from Super Circuit! 😭I wonder how great the soundtrack will be once it gets dropped!
  • It was raining for a short time today while I had to drive somewhere for a bit and it felt relaxing in a way.
  • I played a lot of Tears of the Kingdom. I did a part of the main quest before getting sidetracked by other things again lol.
  • I read the kind words that @/Midoriya originally sent to me from a few days ago. It means a lot since I was having a tough time along with the fact that we’ve been friends for almost five years now. 💚
 
What happened yesterday on 7/5/23:
- I ate some hot dogs that tasted great.
- Watched some island tours on YouTube for inspiration.
- Went grocery shopping with my mom.
- Read an online magazine.
- Watched some French programs. A few days ago, I watched an episode on the show about TikTok and they mentioned that one high school student spends 14 hours a day on TikTok 😲 like WTF. It's stupid and hypocritical how some people complain that video games are a waste of time, yet they ignore that social media addiction is much more common and is a far, far worse way to waste time.
- Spent some time with the cats. Apparently, the queen likes to sleep on her throne lol.

And here's what happened today on 7/6/23:
- I watched some anime and the episode I watched was heartwarming.
- Worked on a portrait drawing of my cousin.
- Played some mobile games.
- Went for a walk outside and I admired the sunny weather.
- Watched some tennis matches.
 
➣ I had a Mango Dragonfruit refresher earlier from Starbucks. It’s been a while since I had one.
➣ I’m very excited about Daisy Cruiser returning as a course for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. It may be my favorite course of all time. Ironically, because I was never a fan of Daisy due to the Mario Party incident.
➣ I saw my friend today. She’s been trying to get me to come into the kitchen since she started, and I finally felt comfortable enough to learn a little. The first attempt over a year ago ended in a panic attack which is how I grew closer to my favorite person. I definitely won’t be scheduled for cooking shifts, but I’m trying to learn a few things. My incentive to learn was to be able to help her out. She also gave me some words of encouragement… It was the highlight of my day, working with her this morning. I realized we aren’t that different.
➣ My mom ordered a new laptop and she’s giving me the old one. I haven’t had one in over a decade, so I’m excited to do things on a bigger screen again.
 
Today I'm happy because:

- I went into the office and it was practically deserted. I like having the place all to myself.
- I had a calmer day than yesterday and got some work done. My incident queue is looking better too.
- I tried a new meal for lunch and really enjoyed it.
- I had a good visit with the chiropractor this afternoon.
- We went by the local ice cream place this evening and I was able to get a quart of the Brownie Batter ice cream I love so much.
- I'm looking forward to the weekend and especially getting to sleep in.
