What are you saving money for?

Not technically saving money at the minute since I'm unemployed but when I am employed again I'm going to start saving up to buy a serger/overlocker for sewing! So that the ends of my garments can be all fancy and secure 😍 But they're expensive lol I'm trying to keep an eye out for second hand ones but they're not as common as sewing machines. Also saving up money long term so that I can go to college!

I save money all the time. I separate it into 3 main catagories, 1 is spending money, 2 is for bills and 3 is to have a backup in cause of a medical emergency (I have no insurance) or if I make a biiig purchase (like my car).

Currently I'm 'saving' for a Switch so I can have a second island. I don't NEED to have a second island rn, but damn do I want one. So I'm waiting for a good deal to happen. So far none of the deals are appealing, and I don't want to buy it hastily when I could have saved money doing somethin else, esp since it is such a costly purchase.

Well I did end up buying a second switch, even thou I couldn't find a deal on it, no good deals for Black Friday or Cyber Monday. The one deal I wanted was quickly sold out of stock. Plus I was out of town that day so not like I could have helped it.

With my bday in January, I'm saving up for some Posca markers I saw on Amazon. They've been in my cart for a long time and I keep thinking about them. None of the stores around here have them besides the basic colours (blue, red, yellow, black, white & green). So I'm buying some real pretty colours. Also there's something wrong with the yellow marker I got, from the get-go it doesn't write smoothly like all the other markers do. When I draw with it it's patchy and doesn't flow consistently, it'll stop and also not blend flat with itself good either. Also it's a 3mm instead of the 5mm all my other markers are which bothers me.

Since I want so many the total (money) is quite a bit.

Right now I'm trying to saving about $400ish to buy my bearded dragon a new tank. She's in a 36x18x18 right now and she's starting to outgrow it. I've been really considering this one

Since it's the cheapest of all the 4' x 2' x 2' tanks I've seen (that will ship). Though people have said that the selling price is way higher than the estimated price to construct it yourself, so some people think its sort of a rip off, but I feel like those people already have at least SOME amount of experience in handiwork, meanwhile I have.. like less than none lol, so I guess I'll pay the price. Plus with COVID-19, reptile expo's aren't really a thing anymore, so going to find some people selling their custom enclosures is out of the question. And I don't really live in a reptile-lover populated state anymore (Florida) so not many options on public marketplace services either. Also I kinda LIKE it's "cheapness" because I'm able to collapse it down if I need to move it, store it, ect.

Though if anyone else just so happens to have/had reptiles and has any experience in buying tanks this big, and could spare some ideas that'd be cool :ROFLMAO:

i need to get a screen protector for my switch ;-; it keeps getting tiny micro scratches and idk how cus im very careful with it. apparently the screen protector will make the scratches invisible so hopefully that helps in that department.

i'm saving up for legend of zelda breath of the wild 2
they'll release it eventually and i'll be ready lol

I have no idea. I'm bad at saving and usually just... buy what I want when I happen to get the money for it. I don't have a job yet though so I meaaaaan-

THAT BEING SAID, I do really want a fursuit. At least a partial, meaning head, paws, and tail. They're just really comforting to me, I dunno, especially the paws. Biiiig stimmy.

I am also saving up for a deposit so I can get my own place. God, the housing prices are so only going up yet minimum wage and the average wages have stayed stagnant. I may have to go back to school eventually and get another degree. I'm not sure how much longer I can work the job I'm doing now.

this hatsune miku figure ive been eyeing for a while. i could be putting my money to good use and actually buying something useful, but that wouldnt be fun

A Nintendo switch lite. Just need to earn 60$ more. I know it sounds crazy for saving up for one but it helps so l can still have money left.

im saving for something where the shipping costs more than the item itself...
I really hate that problem with shipping. Such a pain to deal with.

Saving up for another trip to see my friends in New Hampshire!! After that I'm going to save up for a gaming laptop >w>

I’m saving for moving across the county and buying a house with my s/o :) I need to live somewhere colder and with better air quality

I'm moving out of my parents' house in May when I graduate with my undergrad degree, so saving up for moving costs/furniture/etc to move in with my fiance. I also plan to start grad school next fall, so saving for that too.

But also, always more tattoos. I have 4 on my right leg. My end goal is to fill both legs, have a back piece, and my stomach done. However, that's a lot of money, so I'm always saving for my next one.
