What did you cook or bake today?

Mac n cheese! I've finally perfected doctoring up Kraft to where it tastes like how it used to back when I was a kid, but still a little doctored.
  1. Use 50-80% of recommended amount of butter. Full amount is way too much. Also do unsalted, it's already so salty!
  2. Melt butter completely (burn it a tiny bit if you want nutty taste)
  3. Stir in the powder mix, a couple shakes of the canned parmesan, and a hearty shake of paprika
  4. Stir in suggested amount of milk until smooth (I use lactaid milk since I'm lactose intolerant, which is a bit richer and sweeter)
  5. Stir in one of those pre-sliced size slices of medium cheddar! Lucerne is my favorite brand. If there's no medium, make do with what you got! I find messing around with a mix of sharp or mild cheddar or american cheese provides best backup results
  6. Add a little bit more milk since there will be so much cheese the sauce breaks stringy
  7. Voila! Serve and assault with fresh cracked pepper!
Probably sounds pretentious over simple boxed mac n cheese but this is the best you get out of it (I find trying to get fancy with Kraft brings middling results as opposed to just making fancy mac from scratch, and I get tired of it fast). I just feel like a genius for figuring out perfecting that Kraft like you remember as a kid flavor!!

I cooked Spaghetti today! I was able to make the spaghetti sauce and boil the noodles. The taste is great, especially if you have cheese melted on it!

I'm making some cream cheese cookies as we speak for my dad since it's father's day! I saw the video on youtube and I thought they looked great.
I haven't tried this recipe before and the dough is currently in the fridge for the next half hour, but I can already tell they're going to be really, REALLY good!

UPDATE: they were a hit! They're really tasty c:

made another kladdkaka.. not as good as the one i made earlier but my mom spilled half off it on the stove when taking it out and the instructions were kinda fail so i'll just go back making it as i used to.

also made a spaghetti vegetarianese (i'd say veganese but we used regular creme fraiche so but whatever) that turned out yum!

My boyfriend accidentally bought cake mix when he was going for cocoa powder, so I used it to make him a cake for Father's Day. I ended up having to Frankenstein the inside of it with extra icing because both halves fell apart coming out of the pans. I'm just happy the icing I made turned out okay (even though he also accidentally bought I Can't Believe It's Not Butter instead of real butter ^^;)

I make bread using this recipe. I've made bread with this recipe several times before, but it turned out absolutely perfect this time. I think the secret was making the bread in the summer and letting it proof next to a window (instead of trying to proof it in an oven).

made khachapuri yesterday with my siblings as it's my favorite thing EVER. i've also perfected a pizza recipe that i have a hard time not making every day because it's so good

I love making milk bread. I like to use soy milk.

I just got done cooking for the past three hours. I made some bbq beans, peach salsa, Spanish rice, and grilled street corn burritos.https://thefeedfeed.com/energized_vegan/bbq-bean-burrito-with-spanish-rice-and-grilled-peach-salsa

So we made Philly cheesteak quesadillas and they were different but soooo tasty
We also used red pepper hummus wraps for the actual quesadilla and it was 👌🏻👌🏻💯💯😩😩

I went though the old cookbooks my grandmother gave me when my great grandmother died. I made a Golden Nugget cake from a 1955 dessert book. I used aquafaba instead of eggs, cake flour, and soy milk instead of buttermilk.

Made some budget nachos last night, basically pouring melted cheese over nacho crisps and adding some guacamole and sour cream dips on the side... hella yum but you get full pretty fast haha

I've been baking quite a bit recently, yesterday I made a simple box chocolate cake and added kiwi fruit on top, it was delicious.

I got sleepy earlier and passed out on the couch. When I woke up at 2am I made a bacon egg sammy. My roomie floated into the kitchen wondering because the smell woke him up so I ended up making him one to~

I made a ginger peach pandowdy, which is like a cobbler but the crust is cut and smashed in halfway through baking.

I made ground beef with yellow rice. Pretty basic but always good. Tomorrow I’m making green pozole.
