What is the dumbest way you have broken a 3DS system?

• I washed my 3DS with soap and water. The screen got bubbles inside of it and made the screen impossible to see.

• I dropped my 3DS off a patio. The result was terrible.

I was young when both of these happened.

Myself, then definitely mashing the lower screen of my DS Lite because I got annoyed at it lol. Yes it ended up as you might think lmao.

I know a friend who drenched his 3ds system in mouth wash so that ain't too bad either lol.

Not me breaking DS system but my sister breaking her’s. She got pringle crums in the ds slot and decided to try and get it out with her stylus. She ended up breaking the DS slot of course.

I honestly haven’t broken my systems intentionally. The buttons/batteries just stopped working on me.

Worst I've done to a system was let stuck pixels happen, or use a lotion before playing so the glossy finish started peeling in a spot.

I played my first ds lite until it completely fell apart. The top screen went totally white if you even touched it, and then I had to twist the screen from the top to maybe sort of get the picture back. I used it up until I got my first DSI but that eventually got stolen out of my moms car.

I used a DS Phat as alarm clock for years in the morning and one morning it fell due to my clumsiness from waking and split in two.

Well it didn't really break but I threw up all over one and had no idea how to begin to clean all the gunk out of it so I gave up and threw it away. ?\_(ツ)_/? Luckily I had the dslite off craigstlist solely for nostalgic purposes for like 40 bucks so it wasn't that big of a loss.

Mine has a crack on it, but I've never broken it. I use tape to cover it.

Brought my DS phat I’d had for nearly a decade to school one day in high school; kept it in my bag all day and somehow, by the end of the day, the hinge had broken. Nothing had ever happened to it up until that point, and while I got a 3DS for Christmas a couple weeks later, it still sucked.

You know the thing that connects the two screens? I managed to break both of them, idk how. I ended up playing on my DS with just a wire connecting the two screens, so I had to put the screens against some type of wall each time I wanted to play because if not it would totally fall apart.

Yea the hinges broke on mine to. Mine actually survived a few falls initially. I guess the plastic durability around the hinges wears out over the years or something.

I have never broken a whole DS, maybe just a part of it. My original DS is still in great condition. I'm also still using my original 3dsXL. Both have suffered some falls but nothing too serious. One time my charging port stopped working on the 3ds. I think one of the prongs in it shifted due to me playing with my charger plugged in all the time (I heard it's a common issue). I tried to fix it myself using tweezers... which worked for a bit but it did not last long. I also broke the joystick before from playing puzzle league too intensely lol. Thankfully both incidents were cheap to repair.

Fell out of my pocket while I was on a roller coaster... I watched it slip out of my pocket and plummet to the ground, (and I even heard the loud crash) while I was mid-corkscrew. It snapped in half upon impact. Luckily no one was hurt, and an angry mother picked it up and I was able to salvage my copy of Pokemon X.

Needless to say, I no longer trust having anything in my pockets while at amusement parks. I either use the lockers, or entrust my items with someone who's carrying a purse.

By playing on it intense length of time. After playing thousands hours, it wasn't going to charge anymore. Still I have it, even if it doesn't work anymore. A lot of memories with it.

I didn't break one yet (crossing finger), just spilled a bit of apple juice on it and because of that the sound button always gets stuck no matter how many times I cleaned it.

I got it from someone who had destroyed the charging port, and because it was not charging anymore, the person gave it to me for free. A new charging port costed like $3 or so and thanks to Youtube I repaired it myself. It works pretty well now :)

Not directly broke on, but I somehow crashed once the motherboard of my previous New 3DS.
One day, I wanted to type in someone's FC, so I paused my game and switched to the FC list,
typed in the FC and then when I wanted to get back to my game, the console freezes, nothing
worked anymore. I pressed the power button to turn it off. When I wanted to start the console,
the displays stayed black, only the lamp of the power button was on. I freaked out because I
didn't know what happened. Later, I sent my New 3DS to Nintendo for repair. When I got my
console back, the letter said they had to switch out the motherboard, as the old one had a
malfunction. After all, I was happy that they could fix but it was kinda weird that it crashed
like that...

not the ds line, but I submerged an embarrassing amount of game boy colors in the bathtub

intentionally, at that

Oof lol.

Anyway I think I got ants in one gameboy color I had. It was the purple see-through so it looked kinda gross.

Dropped it on my lap while I was sitting on the couch and I had a blanket over me. I had dropped it on worse things before, but the blanket covered lap was the last straw I guess lmao
