What kind of crafty hobbies do you have?!

Hi:) this is more so a part my job but I do some cake decorating with in house made buttercream & natural food colorings.. I also do vegan cakes as well. Hoping to take some actual classes but where I live currently that’s not an option.

there’s so many crafty people and hobbyists on this site, it’s so nice aaaa ✨
i do a variety of things: i’m a cosplayer, a writer, graphic designer, and i’ve recently started doing some pixel art as well! i used to draw but got burnt out and never looked back unfortunately.
a lot of my design interests were formed on a site called gaiaonline lmao and i spent a lot of my formative years writing on there. i love world-building and i would even sometimes make graphics for my own roleplays; like so!
i used to work for ikea as a designer and that’s translated into my normal life,,, love making furniture / house props from simple crafts you can buy from joanne’s or michael’s!

I actually started making necklaces recently, but on top of that I'm a small scale artist, and do plenty of doodling here and there.

I don't personally have any kind of crafty hobby, I have other hobbys but not crafty stuff unless you consider baking crafty :p
but my mom likes to create her own cards and makes them for friends and family birthday's, holiday cards and her cards look quite good!

i really love painting, but i havent done it in years bc paint is expensive </3 i also really want to try jewellery making! i have never done it before, but i am so interested in it!!
these days i have begun drawing again, i always drew when i was younger and i am glad ive got time for it again [:

I used to be insane with art, and would draw all the time.
but then i found out i was really bad so... don't really have a crafty hobby anymore.

Oh, I'm so sad that you don't draw anymore! I hope you take it up again, since the only way to get better is by doing. Plus, whoever told you you aren't good at it needs to be put in a corner! If drawing is something you enjoy, you should continue to do it, no matter what anyone tells you.

I can make chainmail (we usually just call it maille) although it takes forever to make anything useful so I haven't been very motivated to do it recently, I still need to extend a couple of corselets and add coifs to them.

I also love to draw, but I do that mostly digitally

Kind of stupid I guess, but I like to make friendship bracelets. The ones with the pictures in them, I made one with pineapples and it’s the one I’m always wearing. It looks like this picture I found except I start and finish mine a lot nicer than this rather than just make a bunch of knots.

I really like to work on the potters wheel, draw, and paint, I also enjoy doing coloring pages.

over quarantine i’ve picked up on both painting and embroidery and i find it quite relaxing. every since i learned almost every pair of shoes i own is now embroidered in some way lmao

I love cross stitching! I find it super relaxing and it calms me down when I'm stressed out. I do have a problem with starting too many projects at the same time though! One day I'll get around to finishing them all!

My mom surprised me with some yellow floss today, so I can finally finish my big cross stitch project. 🥰

It's about 25cm x 25cm, but I didn't complete the sides yet because it'd be over the hoop.

This'll be my second set of 8m yellows, it better be enough. 💀

I draw, paint, sculpt (sculpey), make jewelry (braided hemp, thread, and otherwise), sew, dabble in leather-working, write (am published), play a number of instruments, and used to do taxidermy. I love to try lots of random diy projects and collect sooo many things from stickers to seashells! There's such a variety that it's hard to remember everything ^^; <3
