What kind of crafty hobbies do you have?!

shooketh at all the incredibly talented artists on the board!

i'm a big paper crafter/into the planning community as well if anyone on here shares that interest 👀

I draw, paint, sculpt, done some embroidery, and recently felt work. I really want to get into needle felting and plush making but almost no craft stores are open right now o_O

I started embroidery yesterday. The beginner set I picked up is really giant, at least it has all the colors I could ever need. 😅

Why did this take me like 8 hours? 😂 I hope embroiding small things around it will be faster, now I have a general idea of what to avoid.

Very time consuming, but also I didn't notice how many hours I spent and also I didn't want to stop either.

I love knitting and crocheting. I actually founded a knitting club at my school and our service project is making hats for babies that we donate to a local hospital.

I also love acrylic painting. I don’t get to do it very often, though.

Too many hobbies. I'm easily distracted. Used to cross stitch, make polymer clay figures and draw. For the past two years though, I mostly do modular origami and grow tillandsia. (Growing tillandsia isn't exactly crafty, I'm aware. ) Modular origami is pretty challenging. Each kusudama or "ball" is made up of 30 to 60 interlocking pieces of individually folded paper. No glue is used. As long as you're precise in your folding, everything will fit perfectly. I have over 50 tillandsia of different species. They're called airplants by some. I find them fascinating. Tillandsia doesn't need soil to grow. They do need sunlight, water and good ventilation.

I very rarely repaint LPS. I got a bag of some super destroyed ones from a thrift store a few years back so I'm finally able to do what I've always wanted to do! I've painted I think about 5 or 6? And one is incomplete due to me needing to get some more materials for it (it requires some clay add-ons) but Im not really able to go out and look for any.

I need to paint more its just im super lazy in setting it up.

I crochet!! I used to crochet a ton, although I have crummy wrists so I can’t do as much these days. I still have so much yarn though 🤣🤣 Recently I’ve taken up sketching and watercolors, and I’m hoping I can make some cards for friends of mine! I’ve definitely been more crafty in quarantine.

Drawing has always been my big one. Tried getting into embroidering but it hasn't stuck yet. Also a bit of baking but even though I'm good at it (I took a baking science course when I thought I wanted to do it as a job lol, really cool class though even if it was overwhelming at times), it really stresses me out even when the stakes are as low as can be. Getting into perler beads and bracelets for accessories for fairy kei!

All these hobbies are so cool! I see a lot of knitters/corchet-ers!
Paper crafters aswell!
I am also part of the planner/bujo community !

im really into creative journaling! i have two tn's a standard size and a passport size as well as a 3 ring binder journal. recently started a small passport sized for my nh island to keep record of things.

I’m getting into sewing! I’ve made two skirts so far (practice ones tho, they’ll never see the light of day haha) and I’m looking to make a third soon!

I always found sewing really daunting but I’m making gathered skirts by following along with a video tutorial by Gretchen Hirsch and it’s really lovely. She makes the skirt in real time nice and slow. Plus you don’t need to have a pre-bought pattern for gathered skirts since you just use rectangles!

I like to write. When I was younger, I would make friendship bracelets and also those rubber band things (rainbow loom I think?).

I’m sort of a jack-of-all-trades kind of crafter! I recently deciding I would get into candle making! It’s actually quite fun, and I gave a couple as gifts! I’m not sure if this counts at all, but I’ve been doing wax seals for a while because I think they look really fancy and nice. I picked up sewing a couple years but kind of lost it. I did felting and made a couple of items like a turtle and a fox, but I list the needle somewhere in the house and didn’t feel like replacing it. I also make little oven baked clay charms to put in my terrariums and such. So yeah, it’s safe to say that I do a lot of crafts and then lose them over time.

I like drawing but I’m too lazy to find the time to do it! Tbh the medium I draw in was chosen out of laziness as well - I start with pencil, then Sakura fineliners. In school I did this because I didn’t want to bother setting up supplies (e.g., oil painting, watercolor). It stuck though, and I just love drawing in black, shading with ballpoint pens sometimes, and copics for a dash of colour if I feel like it!

I've honestly never really had any kind of crafty hobby before, always wanted to get into them but because they usually take up time I never wanted to get invested into one. However this forum and all the amazing artists on here has inspired me to get into drawing! I've done alot of sketches in my notepad irl so far, and now i've decided to take the leap and get a graphics tablet aswell with my leftover birthday money, so we'll see how that goes!

I adore writing and also have gotten into needlefelting during quarantine. I stopped a bit ago though because my well of creativity dried up 😅

I love to draw and do paper crafts! Recently I got a Cricut and it's changed my quarantine life! I would love to make some AC art in the future, aside from the little doodles I've already done!

I used to collect stickers aswell and I still use a lot of stickers! I like scrap booking with Polaroid pictures of me and my friends aswell as baking all the time!

Omg the level of SKILL this takes! This is super impressive!

When I'm not playing videogames, I write, draw, attempt to crochet, make jewelry or just general crafts. I can still make a helix and square knot frienship bracelets. I use multiple mediums to draw; paints, pastels, watercolours, pencil, alchohol markers, and I want to learn to crochet so I can stop relying on others to make me scarves, and so I can make my own stuffed animals. I used to be super into making other bracelets and necklaces as well. I also do general crafts, like if I see somethin I want to do that I'm able too (no power tools required) then I make an attempt to do it. But if I did have acsess to power tools, lots of wood and money cause wood can be expensive, OH BOY I wouldn't stop. I would have made shelves, chairs, desks, tables, storage thingies, crafts, just a whole lotta stuff.
